Bane

Naked surfer. Habitual pothead. A con, a liar, a thief and a fraud.

Last I heard, he was extorting the rich and screwing their wives for a living.

Which is why I’m more than a little surprised to find him at my threshold, looking for my friendship, my services, and most puzzling of all—looking humbled.

Thing is, I’m on a boycott. Literally—I cut boys from my life. Permanently.

Problem is, Bane is not a boy, he is all man, and I’m falling, crashing, drowning in his sweet, perfect lies.

Jesse Carter

Hot as hell, cold as ice.

I wasn’t aware of her existence until a fat, juicy deal landed in my lap.

She’s a part of it, a little plaything to kill some time.

She is collateral, a means to an end, and a side-bonus for striking a deal with her oil tycoon stepdad.

More than anything, Jesse Carter is a tough nut to crack.

Little does she know, I have the f****** teeth for it

My thoughts 💭

L.J. Shen is absolutely one of my favorite authors. Soon as I noticed the ARC in my kindle library I immediately started reading! It’s hard to write a review because it’s like what do I say besides you should definitely read it! I loved this book. I laughed, I cried and I was angry. Bane and Jesse’s story is just wow. Jesse starts off needing Bane but this princess ends up saving herself and reading her do it with Bane having her back is awesome. Bane is a lot of things but his love for Jesse and his mom makes your heart melt! Bane and Jesse woke each other up and it was amazing to read💙

Down & Dirty: Axel By Jeanne St. James review!

Synopsis from Amazon:

Welcome to Shadow Valley where the Dirty Angels MC rules. Get ready to get Down & Dirty because this is Axel’s story…

When you’re a cop, life can be complicated when the woman you love is MC born and raised…

Though the club blood runs thick in Axel’s veins, he’s despised by them for being a cop. They also hate him because his family turned their back years ago not only on the club but his brother, the president of the Dirty Angels MC. However, he’s loved Bella forever, watched her marry the wrong man, one who broke her in almost every imaginable way, and yet she’s still the strongest person he knows. Despite their rivaling families, he won’t let anything stand in the way of making her his this time.

Bella hasn’t known anything other than alpha bikers her whole life. Her marriage to one turned into a tragedy, one that changed the rest of her life. She was never the same after that one fateful night that Axel came to save her. Though he remains on the outskirts of her life, he’s always there: watching, waiting, worrying about her. Especially when a rival MC continues to wreak havoc on all of their lives.

Like Romeo and Juliet, his family may never accept her, and hers him, but they’re both determined to tear down the wall that divides them.

Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, biker slang, cursing, some violence and, of course, an HEA. If you like alpha males who like to take charge, this book is for you.

My thoughts 💭He’s a cop & she’s DAMC but they are so right for each other! I love Axel & Bella! Axel was just what Bella needed, he isn’t as much of a caveman as the other guys but you still know who his woman is lol! They’ve had eyes for each other since forever and they finally say screw what everyone else says and gets together. Another great book I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait for Slade & Crow’s books😩

Vlad by Ker Dukey &K Webster review!

Synopsis from Amazon:

Everything I do has purpose. Everything I do has reason. Until her.

The Vasiliev name is a powerful one.

We rule with an iron fist and we do it well.

Being the eldest, I am Father’s best hope at keeping us at the top of the food chain.

Everything I do has purpose.

Everything I do has reason.

Until her.

I play my games thinking several moves ahead.

Power. Power. Power.

Until her.

The next move requires I marry and soon.

This will strengthen us and secure our position.

But I am not to marry her.

I am to wed the eldest Volkov.

Problem is, her younger sister is the one who awakens my dead heart.

It is her I want in my bed and by my side forever.

Her. Her. Her.

In this game, though, it’s not about what I want.

But maybe it can be about what she wants.

I am Vlad.

Vile. Vicious. Villainous. Vasiliev.

And I will win eventually.

My thoughts 💭

This was my first time reading a Ker Dukey and K Webster book. From the first few chapters I wasn’t sure I was going to finish since it reminded me of the Hunger Games but I’m glad I did! After I got past the first few chapters I couldn’t stop reading. I can’t wait until the next one comes out!!!

A Wish For Us by Tillie Cole cover reveal!

From the author who brought you A Thousand Boy Kisses comes the new emotional novel,
A Wish For Us.
A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all.

Nineteen-year-old Cromwell Dean is the rising star of electronic dance music. Thousands of people adore him. But no one knows him. No one sees the color of his heart.

Until the girl in the purple dress. She sees through the walls he has built to the empty darkness within.

When Cromwell leaves behind the gray skies of England to study music in the South Carolina heat, the last thing he expects is to see her again. And he certainly doesn’t expect that she’ll stay in his head like a song on repeat.

Bonnie Farraday lives for music. She lets every note into her heart, and she doesn’t understand how someone as talented as Cromwell can avoid doing the same. He’s hiding from his past, and she knows it. She tries to stay away from him, but something keeps calling her back.

Bonnie is the burst of color in Cromwell’s darkness. He’s the beat that makes her heart skip.

But when a shadow falls over Bonnie, it’s up to Cromwell to be her light, in the only way he knows how. He must help her find the lost song in her fragile heart. He must keep her strong with a symphony only he can compose.

It’s Holy Matrimony, Baby By Misti Murphy cover reveal!

Title: It’s Holy Matrimony, Baby
Author: Misti Murphy
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 8th

So many women spend their lives dreaming of their wedding day. Their mother’s dress. The walk down the aisle. The disgustingly perfect bouquet.
Yeah, that’s not me. I don’t believe in the idea that love is more than a complex chemical equation with an expiration date. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s a curse.
But I have a secret…
A weakness…
A mistake…
Nox Casey is rock star gorgeous. Broody, blue eyed and built, he’s a fallen god among mortals. And he’s driving me crazy. When he looks at me science goes out the window. When he speaks my body catches fire like Hendrix’s guitar. And when he plays me…
Did I mention he’s my husband? I married him.
And now he won’t let me go.

Misti Murphy is a sadistic b*tch who loves to emotionally torture fictional people. If she did that in real life she’d probably end up in prison or a psych ward so she prefers to create dirty talking alphas and the sexually frustrated women who fall into their beds. And if someone needs to be smacked upside the head before f*cking turns to love then that makes her very happy indeed. She’s a huge believer in flaws making us human, and that not everyone likes bacon. She’s also addicted to chocolate and scared of the effects of the coming shortage. She swears like a f*cking trooper, and thinks that graphic smuttiness should be as real in fiction as it is in real life.

When she’s not writing she’s the perfect housewife and mother. Ha bloody ha! When she’s not writing she’s hiding in a cupboard with her kindle, scoffing chocolate, and stalking facebook.

Clipped Wings by Betty Shreffler review!

Synopsis:

They call me the Devil’s assassin. It’s true. I have blood on my hands.
As the VP of the Serpents, my life is driven by loyalty, honor, brotherhood.
Until I see her.
Too young, too innocent. Mine to claim.

What I am, what I do, can never reach her. My dark secrets are scars I bear alone.
I’m torn between my duties and the woman I’ll die to protect.
Until…they try to take what’s mine

-from Goodreads

My thoughts:

This was my first book by Betty Shreffler and I really enjoyed it. There is a little inner drama going on in the M.C. that had me so interested I couldn’t stop reading. The relationship was sort of instant but I liked it. Dom and Erika are so cute. Dom is the VP of the Serpents M.C. and Erika is kind of naive but full of hope but she’s got moxie lol! I was glad to see they got their HEA!

Soft Wild Ache by Vivian Lux

Title: Soft Wild Ache
Author: Vivian Lux
Series: The Kings of Crown Creek #3
Genre: Contemporary Romance / Rockstar

Beau King is the most beautiful sin I’ve ever seen.

I grew up knowing one thing: the outside world is wrong.
Books? Sinful. Nonbelievers? Destined for hellfire.
And rock music? Pure evil.
Beau is everything my mother warned me about.
Hazel green eyes. Tempting voice. And that ripped body? Heaven help me.

I want his mouth on mine and his hands in forbidden places.
I want to confess the soft wild ache in my heart to him.
But even though I’ve left the cult behind, I still can’t escape.
I’ve cast off its chains, but I’m not free.
If I let myself fall from grace and into Beau’s arms, can I ever be forgiven?

Vivian Lux loves bad boys who are good men. She lives in Upstate New York with her adorable twin boys and model-hot husband. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading. If she isn’t reading, she’d like to be hiking but is more likely dealing with the mountain of laundry that piled up while she was writing and reading.

Rebel Heir by Vi Keeland &Penelope Ward review!

img_1433

Synopsis:
How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:

Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.

Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.

Check. Check. Check.

I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.

Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.

Especially when he’s mean to you.

Or so I thought.

Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark.

That was sort of how it all started with Rush.

And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.

I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.

As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.
