Made Maleen by Jeanne St. James Review!

Synopsis

“Just let me love you.”

When Maleen King’s father catches her naked in the hay loft with her high school sweetheart, he sends the eighteen-year-old away to receive a college education and rise above the humble beginnings of an Idaho dairy farm. Now fourteen years later, Mal comes home to run the farm after the death of her father. The stress of a disastrous marriage and being a NYC stockbroker made her long to return to a simple life.

Braydon Daniels, devastated when Mal’s father sent her thousands of miles away, has thought about her every day since. Now, over a decade later, he finds himself alone, divorced, and beaten down by the trauma of his broken marriage. When Mal comes back to town for her father’s funeral, he realizes the feelings he once had for her are just as strong. There’s one little snag, though. His ex-wife is the woman Mal has hated her whole life. And they have a child together.

Despite the struggle to recover from their past relationships, the undeniable attraction between them still exists. Can they rekindle the passion they once had?

NOTE: This novella is loosely based on the Grimm’s Fairy Tale “Maid Maleen.”

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mal and Braydon were young and in love when Mal’s dad forced her away. He didn’t want his daughter to be a dairy farmers wife. His intentions seemed good but it brought Mal and Bray 14 years of just settling and not being with who they were meant to be with. Mal returns home for her fathers funeral and she and Bray picked up right where they left off. They both have baggage as adults but they never stopped loving each other. I enjoyed Mal and Braydon’s story.

•ARC Review• Dawg by Jeanne St. James!

Release Date: September 8

Synopsis

Welcome to Shadow Valley where the Dirty Angels MC rules. Get ready to get Down & Dirty because this is Dawg’s story…

She has a secret. But little does she know, so does he.

With a past he’s not proud of and a secret only recently discovered, Dawg’s life is about to change when a kindergarten teacher walks into Heaven’s Angels Gentlemen’s Club, a DAMC business he’s run for the past fifteen years. With no experience, her dancing sucks but he can’t deny the woman’s determination to get the job and, against his better judgement, hires her anyway. While her girl-next-door looks may be good for business, he’s not ready for someone like Emma to walk into his life.

Emma’s desperate. She not only needs a lot of cash, but needs it quickly. Recently unemployed and with nowhere else to turn, she takes a drastic step by auditioning at Dawg’s club. When he finds out her secret, he’s willing to go above and beyond to help her. However, Emma has no idea how a bearded, tattooed biker and strip club manager can help when law enforcement can’t.

Coming from two different worlds, Dawg’s life needs to change drastically to make things work, but is he willing to give up almost everything he’s ever known for Emma?

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Lemme tell you somethin’ ‘bout us Angels. We’re fuckin’ stubborn. Hard-headed. An’ when we see what we want, we go for it. An’, baby girl, I want you. Nobody but you, got me?”

OMG I melted! I want me a Dawg!

Another great addition to the DAMC series! Man I freaking loved Dawg! He doesn’t sugarcoat anything and it left me blinking at the book wondering “did he really just say that?”😂😂😂

Emma was such a sweetheart and I absolutely loved her! The chemistry between them was amazing and I loved their banter! The story was amazing and well written so go buy the book you won’t regret this amazing series!

Brothers In Blue: Max by Jeanne St. James review!

Synopsis

Meet the men of Manning Grove, three small-town cops and brothers, who meet the women who will change the rest of their lives. This is Max’s story…

Big city party-girl Amanda Barber has been spoiled most of her life. But life for Amanda suddenly becomes a major challenge: adapting to small-town life, dealing with her special needs brother, and constantly butting heads with a frustrating local cop.

As a police officer and former Marine, “responsibility” is Max Bryson’s middle name. Never having been in a serious relationship, he has no plans for one in the near future. He likes being his own man. And even if he were interested in a serious relationship, he certainly wouldn’t choose someone so immature and irresponsible as Amanda. But no matter how hard he tries, he can’t get sexy Amanda out of his head or his heart. Watching her mature in front of his eyes, his protectiveness towards her only strengthens.

Bossy and possessive aren’t the only words Amanda uses to describe this frustrating cop. She can’t deny just looking at the man makes her tremble. But she’s done with having anyone control her and this man isn’t going to be any different. Or is he?

Note: This is a full-length novel and can be read as a standalone. No cliffhangers and it has an HEA.

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed reading this book but both Max and Amanda were indecisive 😂 Max didn’t want to do anything that would lead his mom to talk about him getting married and Amanda didn’t know if she wanted to go back to her old life or not. Sometimes I felt like Max was too harsh on Amanda about stuff. She was doing the best she could with having no experience caring for another person! Max was always there to help but if she was doing something he didn’t agree with he’d say something stupid and have to apologize😂. I liked the storyline and I’m interested in reading Marc’s story next!

ARC Review: Down & Dirty: Slade by Jeanne St. James!

Release Date: July 8

Synopsis

Welcome to Shadow Valley where the Dirty Angels MC rules. Get ready to get Down & Dirty because this is Slade’s story…

He thought he liked easy. Until she showed him easy was boring.

Right out of the Marines, Slade’s first mistake was patching into a club that was headed down a destructive path. His second was rolling into Shadow Valley on a search for answers. He had no plans to patch into another club, even one like the DAMC, and he certainly wasn’t looking for an ol’ lady. Especially a ball-buster like Diamond, who could singe the hair off a brother’s nuts with just a look.

DAMC born and bred, Diamond was ready to give up on becoming an ol’ lady until the heavily tattooed biker rolled into town on his Harley. Problem is, months later Slade’s still a mystery. He never talks about himself or his past, and Diamond wants answers. But she’s not quite ready for what’s uncovered: secrets that could very well implode the club. It doesn’t just bring Slade’s loyalty into question, but forces Diamond to make a choice she doesn’t want to make. A choice that affects not only Slade, but the whole MC.

Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, biker slang, cursing, some violence and, of course, an HEA. If you like alpha males who like to take charge, this book is for you.

My thoughts 💭

Soon as I saw this in my library I screamed!! Lol! I absolutely love this series! This book was awesome it has drama, hot alpha men, their bad ass biker ladies and is wonderfully written! Once I started I couldn’t put it down! Diamond is kind of bitchy and a little sweet and I loved her! Slade didn’t want to be tied down so he was avoiding messing around with Diamond. When they finally got together it was so hot!! The DAMC men are all alpha but love their women and family so good I always enjoy reading their stories!

I’m still waiting for Crow’s story the more I find out the more obsessed I become😂😂
