Synopsis

Freed from her neurological condition and the suffocating attention of her parents, Kira is a whole new woman, literally. And now she’s on tour with her favourite band, travelling across foreign countries and recording what she sees with the gorgeous Marlow by her side. So, it all should be smooth sailing, right?

Instead she’s thrust into a complex political world where everything is about power and a misstep could be your last. Kira’s no closer to discovering what the mysterious Aen is, or why he’s so interested in her. The tawny Johnno brings with him his own baggage: his band, with every single one of them focussed on one thing: her. She’s gone from fragile human to resilient, somehow powerful fae, but why does everyone want a bite?

So, who does she let close?

Join Kira as she navigates this brand new world and in the process of discovering the fae world and how it works, discovers a whole lot more than she bargained for about herself.

This is book two in a brand new steamy reverse harem series from the author of the Pack Heat series. If you love hot, why choose romance with sexy fae men and a bit of MM, you’ll love Riding for a Fall.

My thoughts 💭

Well I wasn’t expecting that kind of cliffhanger. I’m definitely feeling some type of way but I’m still interested in Kira’s journey…at this point I only love Aen and he better help her wreck stuff because I just can’t with the other guys. Off with their heads! 😩

Synopsis

They’ve haunted my dreams, now they’re coming for me.

I’ve lived in Gisbourne my whole life, feeling like nothing other than a set of symptoms to my family, my town.

Until now

Asked to photograph the outright debauchery of Avalon Records latest launch, I look and I look and I look until finally I see it.

My parents gave me a camera when I was a kid to help me see the truth: there’s no such thing as the fae.

What if they were wrong?

Seriously, what else could these beautiful people be?

My favourite band, the Changelings: a group of bad boys who shine in my lens, so brightly they threaten to burn me up. Why are they taking an unholy interest in me. Hunting me down, luring me closer, using every damn means they have to box me in, tie me down. And for what?

I’m about to step beyond the lens, become something else altogether and I’m not sure any of us are ready for it.

Author note: This is a reverse harem, paranormal, enemies to lovers kind of romance with multiple love interests. 18+ only for steamy goodness.

My thoughts 💭

This was an interesting read. I’m definitely interested in reading more. I liked Kira. Kira finds out she isn’t human after all then falls down the rabbit hole that is the Fae and since she is more powerful than anyone had thought there’s folks out to get her for her power. I have mixed feelings about her bff Jen. I liked this book.

“If you’re going to get stalked, at least make him hot and immortal.”

It’s always nice to feel wanted, but Grace wasn’t exactly looking for a boyfriend. Plus, getting stalked by a super hot vampire who’s invisible to everyone else just makes you look — and feel — crazy.

Not that her mental health is a high priority for the immortal.

Nic says they’re destined to be together. She’s pretty sure he’s a magical figment of her imagination… but he’s not taking no for an answer. He wants her body, her blood, and to make her his forever.

But does he have the magic wand to make her scream ‘yes?’

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was an enjoyable read! Nic is finally freed from his curse and he’ll convince his plehara/mate that they’re meant to be. I liked Grace, she was very witty. This was a funny and easy read. I definitely recommend if you enjoy cursed vampires being saved by their mates.

Review:The Librarian & The Beast by SJ Sanders

Length: 242 pages

Published: July 7, 2020

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

Beni has lived a charmed existence in Dunvar Citadel, but one that is coming quickly to an end. When she loses her position as transcriber in the citadel library to a newcomer, she knows that is only a matter of time before the council will insist that she marry. Although she dreads the idea of being one of many wives to her husband, her more immediate and pressing concern is her replacement—a man who is conspiring with the chancellor to weed out non-essential fiction that distract the women workers within the citadel.

In attempt to save the books, Beni herself ends up requiring saving when she falls into a river. Her savior, however, is far beyond anything she ever could have imagined. The Mintar is far from human in appearance and social niceties, he isn’t even particularly friendly, yet he promises to return her safely home. All that is required is a pretense of mating to keep the other males of his clan from courting her. That is certainly no hardship as far as she is concerned, especially not with so much in the village to keep occupied, alien scrolls to explore, and an opportunity to do what she loves. What she doesn’t plan on is falling in love with the stoic male who doesn’t want a mate.

Faltz carries the scars on his body and heart from losing his parents as a calf. Females are frightened by his appearance and he doesn’t consider himself worthy of having a mate and family when his parents died saving him. Caring for a lost human is an annoying inconvenience, but he is determined to see it through and get the feisty female home safely…even if that means deceiving his queen and entire clan by pretending a mating with her. When pretense turns into truth, Faltz’s honor is tested when he is forced to face one fact…when she leaves, how would he continue without her?

Book contains graphic sex and violence

My thoughts 💭

This was an enjoyable read. Beni and Faltz had good chemistry. It took meddling friends and a kidnapping to make them realize they’d rather stay together.

Review: Den Of Vipers by K.A. Knight

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel—The Vipers.

They run this town and everyone in it. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses.

Yes, sold me.

They own me now.

I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant. These men, they look at me with longing. Their scarred, blood-stained hands holding me tight. They want everything I am, everything I have to give, and won’t stop until they get just that. They can own my body, but they will never have my heart.

The Vipers? I’m going to make them regret the day they took me.

This girl? She bites too.

*18+ Reverse Harem Romance. Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse/assault that some readers may find triggering. Along with graphic sex scenes and violence. This is a dark book*

My Thoughts 💭

This book was amazing! Their relationship starts off as a business deal but the more the guys got to know Roxy they realized she’s under their skin and they’ll never let her go. Roxy was a crazy and strong female and she had to be to take on the vipers! The guys are mean, cold and cruel but they loved her and she definitely loved them. This book was a page turner! I was hooked from beginning to end!

After losing a mate and child before Inzen is overprotective of the human child he’s raised as his own, at the thought of someone trying to claim her he panics. He ends up falling for the human who seems to be his daughters mother and believes they can all be family but someone else thinks they have a claim on her and tries to collect. This was an enjoyable read.

Review: Omega Awakening by L.V. Lane

Length: 211 pages

Published: June 1, 2020

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

Omega Awakening, a dark Cinderella Omegaverse romance…

All things must end.

I learned that lesson the day my mother died.

My step-mother was wicked.

My step-sister, spiteful.

It was a relief when I revealed as an Omega because it was a chance to escape.

But it wasn’t the end of my troubles.

What happens to Omegas is a secret.

And my troubles had just begun.

“I can save you from one monster, Verity,” Lilly had said when she accepted me into the program. “But I cannot save you from them all.”

True to her word, she saved me from my step-mother.

Then Woodrow entered my life.

And I realized he was the other monster Lilly had warned me about.

My thoughts 💭

This was an okay read but just not for me. I liked Verity. I didn’t like how Woodrow was with Verity. I didn’t really feel there was a connection. He’s an Alpha and takes what he wants and that’s fine but I just didn’t care for him conditioning/grooming Verity.
