Synopsis

Welcome to Fortune Academy, a school where supernaturals can feel at home—except, I have no idea what the hell I am.

The last thing I remember is arriving at the massive gates with a Bounty Hunter staring me down. I have a feeling he was supposed to take me to the monster holding arena to fight and die. Instead, I’m Fortune Academy’s newest student.

I can relate to the monsters in ways the other students can’t. My mentor, who is way too hot for his own good, tells me my behavior is the result of my memory loss and that I’m just trying to identify with a past pain that I’ve buried too far to feel. I think he’s wrong. I think the reason I can’t relate to any of the students is because I’m one of the monsters they’re trained to kill.

I don’t fit into any of the supernatural cliques, but that doesn’t stop me from collecting bullies. A brawny alpha shifter, a moody dark mage, and a playboy demi-god have decided to break me. They think I don’t have any powers and that I was recruited by mistake. It’ll be their funeral if they push me too far, because this girl isn’t taking any of their shit.

My name is Lily Fallen, but don’t let my pretty face fool you. I’m a monster in a school uniform and it’s only a matter of time before I teach my bullies a lesson they won’t forget.

Fortune Academy: Year One is the first of three novels in an upper YA/NA paranormal academy series. Expect a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance where there are five guys and no choosing required!

My Thoughts 💭

The storyline was definitely interesting. I can’t wait to read what Lily has planned for her mates and if they’ll resist!

Synopsis

From the moment I scent her, I have to have her underneath me.

The human female spins and runs straight into my chest.

“Oh!” she says but then she stops, frozen as she stares up at me. “Hi.”

I, too, am stopped in place.

This female is nothing like the others I have seen. She is petite, with long flowing black hair. Her features are as foreign to me as any humans, but for some reason I find her face pleasing.

Before I can think better of it, my tongue sneaks out over my lips to scent my surroundings.

But all I can smell is her.

And I’ve never scented anything so delicious in my life.

MINE.

It’s all but a convulsion that tears through my body.

What? No! No, this cannot be happening!

My denials are weak, though.

Far louder is the cry: Mine, mine, mine, mine, MINE, MINE.

My Thoughts 💭

This was a fun and sweet read with a little bit of drama! Juliet and Shak were so adorable! Shak has been looked down upon his whole life and feels like he can prove himself with his new mission. He is totally unprepared for meeting his mate, Juliet. They have an instant attraction and they were so awkward and sweet. Juliet is with a jerk but when he disappears she decides to focus on the hot guy she keeps running into. Shak has accidental success with his mission which freaks Juliet out and then there’s kidnaping and then a little treason and a happy ending. I can’t wait to read Enzo and Ana’s story!

Synopsis

Brielle Atwater isn’t sure of much, but she knows a few things:

1. Having black wings is not normal.

2. Selling her soul to the demons was a mistake.

3. Lincoln Grey is the biggest *** she’s ever met … but not falling in love with him might prove impossible.

When angels fell from the sky to war with the demons that ravaged Earth, their combined powers infected humanity. Now, the humans are assigned one of two fates, being either demon gifted or angel blessed.

After wings sprout from Brielle’s back at her awakening ceremony, she’s sure she’s an angel blessed celestial. It’s not until she sees black wings that she realizes something is terribly wrong.

Having sold her contract at a young age to save her father’s life means she should be bound for Tainted Academy. That is, until a fallen angel unexpectedly fights for her to be accepted into Fallen Academy, the elite school for those that inhabit Angel City.

She’s immediately matched with her impossibly handsome celestial teacher, Lincoln Grey. Laying eyes on him, her first thought is that her time at the academy might actually be fun, but this theory quickly fades when she and Lincoln clash on day one. To further prove her admission into Fallen Academy is cursed, the entire school is thrown into chaos when an Abrus demon reveals that he knows Brielle’s secret. Now, above all else, Lincoln must fight to protect her.

To his surprise, the only thing more difficult than trying to save her … is trying not to fall for her.

My Thoughts 💭

The book was interesting enough to finish reading but I don’t think I’ll continue with the series. I liked Bri in the beginning but she became annoying after her feelings for Lincoln came out. I wasn’t even sure he was interested in her for a while.

Synopsis

Wealth and power make them untouchable.

The monarchs of Trinity Academy.

Falcon Reyes.

With a sharp, intelligent look, he reeks of arrogance wrapped in an icy layer of indifference. A life of luxury has left him with the notion that everything is attainable.

Power. Wealth. Status.

He’s a god and I a mere mortal.

He’s Jupiter, and I am Mercury.

There’s so much power in this man.

He has the kind of influence most people can’t even begin to imagine.

And me… I’m an eighteen-year-old girl who managed to make him lose control.

I’m the girl who showed him there’s a kaleidoscope of colors outside the high walls of his black and white world.

Please note:

This is Book 1 in The Trinity Academy Series.

All 3 books are interconnected, and some plots are carried over to the next 2 books in this series.

My Thoughts 💭

This was an amazing book! This story had me hooked from beginning to end! I loved how Layla brightens Falcon’s world. They were absolutely adorable! I loved the other characters as well and can’t wait to read their stories. I definitely recommend if you enjoy a fast pace romance!

Synopsis

This academy is like no other…

My name is Lexi Cameron and until three weeks ago, I thought I was human.

It was all a lie.

I’m a demon, and I’m signed up to attend The Demon Academy.

I soon find out it’s the darkest, cruellest school around and not many survive a full year, let alone three.

Welcome to DA, where unless you are a high demon, you can expect to be treated like trash.

My plan?

To be invisible and get the hell out of this academy, but it doesn’t work out that way…

I have one angel teacher trying to get rid of me, the students of DA making sure I know what a demon can do and I’m not going to survive Demon Academy for long.

That is until the Lucifer sons see me.

They want to break me,

they love to play games with my heart,

and even if I wanted to run from them…I can’t.

I’m apparently their mate.

And just like their father’s home, hell can’t be escaped.

RH Dark Bully Academy Romance. 18+

My Thoughts 💭

I am loving this story! This was well written with secrets and I can’t wait for what’s coming next! Lexi doesn’t want a mate but I’m pretty sure she has 4 of them. With a lying liar that lies and schemes claiming she’s only his! Nick and Claus was sweet in their weird way. Javier kind of disappointed me. Morgan is kind of hot and cold. I’m impatiently waiting for the next book!

Review: All The Pretty Monsters by Kristy Cunning!

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

After spending the vast majority of my life lonely, I came to this town to find answers about my mother, and instead, stumbled upon a secret society full of monsters I never knew existed outside of dark tales.

Now I’ve built a sanctuary, gotten in the middle of an ages-old feud between various monster factions, and somehow ended up with an ancient, queen-like tyrant targeting me, because my life sucks sometimes.

I don’t know how these things keep happening to me. They just do.

Tensions keep climbing, and everyone’s on edge while waiting and watching to see what Idun Neopry does next.

In the midst of all that, the secrets spill, the lies unravel, and the half-truths finally come to full fruition. It’s been one hellish snowball ride to make it this far, and I’m mostly ready for anything that comes next.

That’s a lie, actually. But I’d like for it to be the truth. For now, hoping for the best is all I have. Well, I guess that’s a lie too. Hope’s not all I have.

I also have a Van Helsing, who can slay a small army without wrinkling his shirt. Then there’s a Morpheous, who can toy with my mind in ways I never imagined. I’ve got a wolf, who makes it a goal to keep me human-ish. And there’s a vampire, who enjoys killing and stabbing.

Ancient alphas, old vendettas, super-complicated histories, mass-death threats, and a lot of personal baggage. That’s become a Tuesday morning coffee break to me by now.

Like I said, my life sucks sometimes.

**Reverse Harem Romance

**Language Warning

**Adult content

**Dark Humor

My Thoughts 💭

This was an amazing end to Violet and her monstars story! Her monster was definitely the biggest and baddest but she was still sweet and I loved it! When all the secrets were being told I was in shock. This amazingly written story had me hooked from beginning to end! I’ll definitely be reading this again!!

Oh, no. He wants an entire lifetime of them. With me. And he’s not accustomed to hearing the word no…

Review: Cruel Magic by Eva Chase

Length:300 pages

Published: May 8, 2019

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

I thought I was ordinary Rory Franco: college student, artist, and over-protected daughter. Then mages barge into my family’s home, murder my parents, and whisk me off to a university known to the rest of magical society as Villain Academy.

It turns out I’m Persephone Bloodstone, the long lost heir to one of the five royal families of dark magic. I’m destined to learn how to manipulate the world with fear—and to stand beside the four other scions: the scorching-hot, arrogant young men who rule this school.

Unfortunately, I’m having trouble locating my supposedly wicked skills. I don’t want to use a power that feeds off people’s pain, but I have to tap into my talents fast if I want to survive. I’ve got no time to grieve for my family. The students here are even more vicious than the teachers, and my fellow scions are worst of all.

The four of them crush anyone who doesn’t kowtow. No way will I bow to any villain, no matter how brutally alluring. They can turn on the charm or tear me down, but they can’t break me, even if I can barely get my magic working.

They’ve never met anyone like me before. I don’t care about ruling. I just want to avenge the people I loved.

It doesn’t matter what kind of power runs through my veins. I’m taking Villain Academy down.

*Cruel Magic is the first in a university-age paranormal academy series. Expect magical villainy, a tough heroine who bends to no one’s will, a dollop of steam, and a slow-burn reverse harem romance where there’ll be no choosing required.*

My Thoughts 💭

This book wasn’t for me and I normally enjoy a good bully romance. None of these guys have any good qualities. Connar has you thinking he may be in Rory’s corner but he’s not because his best friend Malcom might have a crush on Rory but has treated her horribly after watching the only parents she’s known be murdered in front of her. They’re all cowards but especially Declan. Jude is a jerk. Rory is awesome and I’d love for her to wield her magic and have them all on their knees. I’m not sure I’ll read the next one.

Trailer
Excerpt
He’s so
close now, all the ridges of his abs underneath his shirt are visible, and it’s
almost making me want to reach out and touch them.

Stop this, Sam. Just fucking stop it.

“You make me
laugh,” he mutters, placing both hands on the windowsill behind me, caging me
inside his arms once again.

Goddammit.

“You piss
me off,” I reply.

“Keep
telling yourself that,” he quips.

One of his
hands slides from the windowsill to my hand, and I freeze. His warm hand feels
like lightning shooting all over my skin as it travels up my arm.

“You should
know better than to taunt me,” he says, leaning in to whisper in my ear. “I
like scared little girls … like you.”

His tongue
dips out and grazes along the rim of my ear. A chill runs up my spine as he
places his other hand on my knee. The oxygen is knocked right out of me when he
slides it upward along my thigh.

“You’re a
dirty girl, aren’t you?” he whispers, adding a groan that sets my body on fire.
“I like that.”

His hand
creeps up my red and black checkered skirt, fingers curling underneath the
fabric of my panties.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Why am I letting him do this?
He’s the bad guy.

He groans
again, tugging at the elastic to pull them down. “You’re a filthy … little …
thief.”

RIP!

In one
quick pull, he’s torn them straight off.

I gasp in
shock as he holds my panties in his hand, wearing a victorious grin on his
face.

“What
the—?”

He brings
them to his face and takes a whiff, a delicious moan grumbling in his throat.

“I’ll hold
onto these,” he murmurs, stuffing them into his pocket.

And after a
dirty look, he turns around and walks off.

“What?” I
mutter, ignoring the throbbing sensation between my legs.

He glances
at me over his shoulder. “Consider it a down payment … I’ll give them back if
you give me those pictures within a day. And if you don’t, I’ll find more
creative ways to tempt you.”

So that’s
what this is all about. Extortion. I should’ve known, shouldn’t have been so
gullible to assume he’d ever feel something for me. Playing with lust as though
it’s a goddamn tool.

I spit at
him, but it lands on the floor. “You’re a disgusting piece of shit, Nate
Wilson.”

He doesn’t
even look at me when he says, “Believe me, I know.”

Then he
closes the door on me.
