Synopsis

My husband killed me.

Then he screwed his way through the city, the only problem? I didn’t stay dead. It seems killing me woke something deep inside, something so dark and buried so deep I never knew it was there.

I don’t know what I am, I don’t really care. All I can think about is revenge, even as the monsters in the dark start to surround me. Their horns and black eyes, mouths filled with fangs claiming I am theirs.

My monsters will have to wait, he will regret the day he crossed me.

Are you scared of the dark? You should be.

*18+ Reverse Harem Romance. Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse/assault that some readers may find triggering. Along with graphic sex scenes and violence. This is a dark book*

My Thoughts 💭

This book was interesting. I liked the storyline but some the crazy things Dawn says and does threw me off. Dawn was killed by her husband and comes back changed and ready for revenge. She has mates who heard her cry and is ready to help her with her plans. This was an interesting book and I’ll definitely be reading the next one.

KERAX

I came to Earth to claim the throne.

And then I saw her, and I knew I had to make her mine.

Her scent drives me mad. Her skin is soft and perfect. Her luscious curves fill me with desire. I can barely control myself around her.

The throne can wait.

First she will give me an heir

ALPHA is the second book in the steamy Sci-Fi Romance series Warriors of Kaizon, by Luna Hunter. Each book follows a different couple and can be read as a standalone. No cheating, HEA guaranteed!

My Thoughts 💭

Kerax comes to earth to defeat his brother to rule earth but is in for a rude awakening. He saves/captures Makayla and realizes she’s his mate. Kerax is a big jerk but he kind of comes around after some tough lessons. I enjoyed reading this so I’ll probably go back and read the first one lol.

Cursed for generations, forced to protect my village from the dark forces.
But they demand a heavy price for their protection. Me.
Five against one…against me alone.
My only hope for survival is to tame the wolves…but submission is not in my nature.

Warning: In our Fairytales, there is danger in the shadows, the beasts bite and no Heroine is truly safe. If dark tales of danger, forced attraction and multiple partners offend you then please do not purchase.

My Thoughts 💭

A dark paranormal fantasy. Red is the blood moon sacrifice and she’s terrified of being eaten by the wolves. The defiantly eat her just not in the way she’s been led to believe. Grimm, Helm, Rood, Canis and Beo have been cursed and betrayed by the elders. They’ve accepted their fate but Red comes along and she doesn’t accept how they’ve been treated. They are stern and mean but soften towards her a little. This was an ok dark fantasy.

Review: Void by Raven Kennedy & Coralee June

Length:382 pages

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

I was born of nothing.

I’m a Void, a rare supernatural capable of absorbing powers at the brush of my skin.

Feared. Hated. Untouchable.

Thibault Academy is full of supernaturals that want me dead, and the most powerful of them, the Paragons, will stop at nothing to ensure I go back to the hell I came from. They’re cruel, heartless, and have created an unlikely alliance to take me down.

If I want to learn how to control the nothingness, I’ll have to survive them.

I was born of the void, but I’ll die from the power.

This is a reverse harem bully romance.

My Thoughts 💭

This was a really good paranormal bully romance. Devicka is a powerful void and is a pariah in supe society because everyone believes she’ll just take their power. Render, Gritt, Quade and Hyde are a little prejudice at first but as they get to know her their view of her changes. The guys are jerks at first but they didn’t take it too far. I enjoyed how each of them became protective of her and her of them. This was an enjoyable read!

EXCLUSIVE RELEASE EXCERPT

Shifting was in my blood. My father was a shifter, just like his father before him. They were bird shifters, but I was canine. I could transform into any dog I wanted—almost any dog, that is. I’d never mastered a large breed like a St. Bernard or Great Dane. Granddad thought that was because as a human, I was five feet, five inches—the shortest guy in my high school. But I didn’t need to become a big animal to protect my sister.

Hounds were my favorite breeds to shift into because they allowed me to look for things that other people couldn’t see. My nose smashed against the sidewalk. Something about Dory’s shoes smelled delicious. I sniffed around the bottom of her sandals and discovered a tiny morsel of dried-up pizza.

“You don’t need to be a drug-sniffing beagle.” Dory nudged me away with her toe. “Lenox doesn’t do shit like that. Pick something else that won’t be so obvious.”

I closed my eyes, took a deep whiff of the night air, and shifted into something smaller.

“A pocket beagle?” Dory crossed her arms. “The deal’s off. Find yourself a new wardrobe assistant because I’d rather miss the party then show up with—”

“Hey, Dory,” said a friendly voice. “Cute dog.”

A slim brunette in a skirt and cowboy boots walked up to us. It was Rain Hathaway, who had the good fortune to be the younger sister of Summer Hathaway, the girl I was going to marry.

“Hi, Rain.” Dory plastered a smile on her face and fiddled with the tassel on her purse. “Is that your Lexus?”

“I wish. It’s my mom’s. I’m staying at her house this weekend.” Rain smelled like Tide Pods and soy sauce. She bent down on the pavement. “Is it okay if I pet your dog?”

“Sure,” Dory said in a higher-than-normal voice.

“What a cutie.” Rain held her hand up to my nose so I could sniff it. Now that she was closer, I smelled other things on her too. She’d eaten tuna rolls for dinner, followed by a Dr. Pepper. Her mom’s Lexus was relatively new and still off-gassing chemicals.

I nuzzled Rain’s hand and sniffed deeper. There was a dog at her house, a female Shih Tzu. As Rain ran her hand down my back, I closed my eyes, enjoying the massage. My tail wagged. I couldn’t help it. She scratched me behind the ears and I groaned. I looked up at Rain with my puppy-dog eyes, and she giggled.

“Your dog is adorable,” she said. “I’ve never seen a beagle so small before. What’s his name?”

“Trouble.” Dory glared down at me. “His name is Trouble because he is a pain in the ass.”

**Warning: This book contains sexual content and violence.**

My Thoughts 💭

I loved this book! Tenthil is an assassin on a mission and screws up when he lays eyes on Abella. He becomes obsessed and comes up with a plan to have her. Abella was stolen from her home and was seen as nothing but a pet. When Tenthil rescues her she thinks he’s going to take her to the human embassy but he has other plans for his mate. This was an enjoyable read. I loved the chemistry and banter between Abella and Tenthil.

Excerpt
We walk into the house and I watch her face,
hoping,
praying, for a reaction. Some memory that will provide an answer
we need.

Her mouth curves downward. “It’s just like
walking into the home of your favorite childhood friend as an adult. Familiar,
but meaningless. Why the hell did I ever think seeing it might heal a brain
tumor? I was expecting miracles.”

I return and find my hands wrapping around her
arms, forcing her to meet my eye. “Who says it would have to be a miracle?” I
ask. “We can’t explain
anything that’s happening. But there was a time
when people couldn’t explain the change in seasons, or sunlight, or gravity. It
doesn’t mean there wasn’t an explanation. It just meant it hadn’t been
discovered. Why should this be any different?”

She looks away, pressing her lips together.
“But the tumor—you don’t actually believe we can stop it.”

I tip her chin up, feeling a little desperate.
She can’t start losing hope now. I need her to keep fighting until we find a
solution. “Do I think it’s unlikely this can fix the tumor? Yeah. But your tumor
is also unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And how could I say it was impossible
anyway? Every day, you and I are witnessing the impossible. We’re having the
same dreams, for God’s sake. You know things you couldn’t possibly know, and
from the moment I met you, it felt like you were…”

“It felt like I was what?”

“Mine,” I reply.

The awkwardness of that word washes over us
both. I’ve never called anyone
mine in my life, and she is with someone
else. But I also know what I said was right. She is meant to be mine, and
somehow today I need to convince her of that.
