BLURB

Warrior. Doctor. Spy. I am Commander Helion, a heartless terror, relentless and unforgiving. Merciless.

My destiny is not to claim a female, to have a family, to be rendered helpless by love.
Despite this, I am matched. A beautiful human female is now mine. Despite my warnings, she is determined to leave her mark on me, body and soul.
Honor demands I resist. I tell her the truth. I will not place a mating collar around her neck. I cannot protect her—especially from me—my choices—the horrors I face every day.
Just one moment of weakness and she gets under my skin, makes me want things I cannot have. She is everything I am not—and the most dangerous creature I have ever faced.
Claiming her—keeping her—is not possible with my pivotal role in this never-ending war. There is no place in my duties for desire. For need. Too many innocents count on me for protection. Too many lives are at stake, including hers.
The enemy is always ready and waiting, but I never expected her to be among them.
For the first time in my hardened life, I question my sanity. My dark soul. I begin to understand exactly what my enemies have stolen from me—and realize there is no limit to what a heartless warrior will sacrifice for love.

EXCERPT

I shuddered and pushed Danika, the Hive and the sanctuary out of my head. No more Hive experiments for me, thank you very much. But feeling what Zarren was feeling? Sharing his emotions? I needed that if I was going to keep him. Desperately.

Suddenly unsure, I tucked the third mating collar away inside my trunk before heading for the living room. I didn’t know if Zarren would be there when I opened the bedroom door. Didn’t have any idea whether he would have stuck around or left me here alone—probably so he could go to his comm station and send some kind of complaint or inquiry as to the Bride Program’s return policy.
Leaning my forehead against the cool door, I counted backward from ten. Slowly. I hid the mating collar, curling it up in the palm of one hand so I could wrap my fingers around it in a tight fist. The collar would bind us together, make our needs and emotions one.
I simply refused to believe Zarren was as cold-hearted and intractable as he seemed. If he were like that on the inside, the matching program would have sent him a robot, not a woman. Not me.
Before I could lose my nerve, I opened the door and took two steps into the barren living area. To my relief, Zarren was seated at the table, head bent over his task as he organized his super-secret, not-for-me papers.
He was gorgeous. The nearly constant state of arousal I’d been in since the processing simulation roared back to life.
He didn’t look at me as I stepped closer, but his nostrils flared. Could he smell my need for him? His hands curled into fists on top of the table. When he spoke, his words were nearly a growl. The tortured sound encouraged me to move even closer.
“What do you think you are doing, female?”

My exciting vacation gets a little too exciting when my ship blows up, and my escape pod lands on an alien planet filled with a predator species. They’re barely civilized, not a translator chip in sight, and there’s no mistaking the way they drool when they stalk me.
I gravitate toward the one that could eat me whole in two bites, give or take. Impossibly huge, black hair, pale eyes. His follow-your-nose greeting makes me blush, but at least he seems to want to keep me safe.
But tribal law decrees I’m the prize in a series of deadly games. To claim me, he must win. If he loses, I’m food.

Her speciality is dystopian science fiction romance for grown ups.

Synopsis

An unstoppable Alpha. A sassy Omega. And the battle for the throne.

My favorite kill is Alpha Regha. Second favorite doesn’t exist—nothing and nobody else is a fair fight. I haven’t had one of those in too long as I lead my Warlords far and wide in pursuit of the imposter. So far, he’s eluded me, leaving me frustrated, moody as hell, and spoiling for battle.

In this snow-covered border village, I sense no enemy. Only a dozen girls hiding in a barn—as they should. One of them is Rickie Lee, an Omega I instantly rename Kiki. She hates that. Too bad.

There’s something different about Kiki, and it’s not just the sass that makes me laugh—or want to apply discipline. The imposter brands his assets, and she’s his.

This is my last chance to destroy the enemy of the Regha crown. And if I can’t eliminate the enemy’s asset, I will conquer it. Kiki is mine.

***final book in the Hordesman series. Enjoy and thank you.

My thoughts 💭

I loved Seer and KiKi they were both crazy! They had me laughing from beginning to end! This was an entertaining and enjoyable read I definitely recommend this series!

Review:The Librarian & The Beast by SJ Sanders

Length: 242 pages

Published: July 7, 2020

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

Beni has lived a charmed existence in Dunvar Citadel, but one that is coming quickly to an end. When she loses her position as transcriber in the citadel library to a newcomer, she knows that is only a matter of time before the council will insist that she marry. Although she dreads the idea of being one of many wives to her husband, her more immediate and pressing concern is her replacement—a man who is conspiring with the chancellor to weed out non-essential fiction that distract the women workers within the citadel.

In attempt to save the books, Beni herself ends up requiring saving when she falls into a river. Her savior, however, is far beyond anything she ever could have imagined. The Mintar is far from human in appearance and social niceties, he isn’t even particularly friendly, yet he promises to return her safely home. All that is required is a pretense of mating to keep the other males of his clan from courting her. That is certainly no hardship as far as she is concerned, especially not with so much in the village to keep occupied, alien scrolls to explore, and an opportunity to do what she loves. What she doesn’t plan on is falling in love with the stoic male who doesn’t want a mate.

Faltz carries the scars on his body and heart from losing his parents as a calf. Females are frightened by his appearance and he doesn’t consider himself worthy of having a mate and family when his parents died saving him. Caring for a lost human is an annoying inconvenience, but he is determined to see it through and get the feisty female home safely…even if that means deceiving his queen and entire clan by pretending a mating with her. When pretense turns into truth, Faltz’s honor is tested when he is forced to face one fact…when she leaves, how would he continue without her?

Book contains graphic sex and violence

My thoughts 💭

This was an enjoyable read. Beni and Faltz had good chemistry. It took meddling friends and a kidnapping to make them realize they’d rather stay together.

Review: Daughter Of The Alien Warrior by Honey Phillips & Bex Mclynn

Synopsis

Can a grieving alien warrior and a desperate mother overcome their painful pasts through the shared love of a child?

One year ago, Jade’s husband was killed and the baby she had wanted for so long disappeared. She has been searching for her daughter ever since. Nothing – not even being abducted by aliens – is going to stop her.

She doesn’t expect to find a daughter who doesn’t know her; one who clings to a huge, green alien instead. Despite her own attraction to the older warrior, she will do whatever it takes to get her daughter back.

Inzen lost his wife and daughter many years ago in the terrible plague that threatened to destroy the Cire race. When his ship rescued a group of abducted women and infants, he willingly took on the care of one of the children.

Then a luscious human female appears, demanding the return of her daughter and he is faced with once again losing a child.

When danger threatens, can Jade and Inzen come together for the sake of the child they both love?

Each book in the Treasured by the Alien series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy HEA is intended for mature readers.

My Thoughts

Jade is determined to find her daughter and nobody is going to stop her….not even aliens. After losing a mate and child before Inzen is overprotective of the human child he’s raised as his own, at the thought of someone trying to claim her he panics. He ends up falling for the human who seems to be his daughters mother and believes they can all be family but someone else thinks they have a claim on her and tries to collect. This was an enjoyable read.

Review: His Human Nanny by Michele Mills

Length: 151 pages

Published: May 9, 2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

My indentured servitude is almost over and freedom is a heartbeat away!

Until some alien guy buys me because he needs a nanny, quick. What the actual f@ck? I’m not even good with kids. I’ve never changed a diaper in my life. But the beings at the employment agency won’t listen. “Hew-mans are hot right now. Everyone wants a hew-man nanny.” Great. And since there isn’t another human available… I’m hired on the spot.

Yay, me.

And on day one of my new job I’m having a panic attack because I finally meet my new boss and he looks like Satan himself. No lie. Black horns, red eyes and glinting silver-tipped claws. He even has a barbed tail, a forked tongue, and he breathes fire. This guy is terrifying, and his children look exactly like him.

*heart palpitations* *hyperventilating*

And yet, as I’m caring for these strangely adorable infants and gazing longingly at my crazy-rich boss as he cradles his twin babies in his huge, muscular arms… my traitorous heart goes pitter-patter and my body heats up like lava.

Oh no.

And I begin to wonder — have I sold my soul to the devil?

My thoughts 💭

I loved this book. Riley takes one last job being a nanny to the devil like alien Aegir. They have amazing chemistry but they have to fight it until Aegir is able to claim her. Riley continues to care and love his children while getting impatient for her husband to claim her. This was an enjoyable read. I definitely recommend! I can’t wait to read Bergelmir and Chloe’s book!

Review: Prize by Sara Fields

Rating:⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

I was for sale, but he didn’t buy me. He just took me.

Exiled from Earth by a tyrannical government, I was meant to be sold for use on a distant world. But Vane doesn’t buy things. When he wants something, he takes it, and I was no different.

This alien brute didn’t just strip me, punish me, and claim me with his whole crew watching. He broke me, making me beg for mercy and then for far more shameful things. Perhaps he would’ve been gentle if I hadn’t defied him in front of his men, but I doubt it. He’s not the gentle type.

When he carried me aboard his ship naked, blushing, and sore, I thought I would be no more than a trophy to be shown off or a plaything to amuse him until he tired of me, but I was wrong.

He took me as a prize, but he’s keeping me as his mate.

My thoughts 💭

This book just wasn’t for me. I guess Nina and Vane are masochists and I couldn’t get into it with barely any affection. I prefer at least a little affection.

Review: Yce by A.G. Wilde

Length:221 pages

Published: January 26,2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

When she’d left the gym to head home for a quiet night, the last thing she’d expected was to be abducted by aliens to then be thrown into a fight for life and survival aboard an alien slave ship.

Now that chapter is over and there’s another obstacle in her way—surviving on a desert planet where everything lives to kill…all the while dealing with him…

Yce.

The alien she’s stuck with.

He’s otherworldly, strange, and absolutely confusing.

She hates him and the feeling seems to be mutual.

Problem is, they are stuck in each other’s company until they reach the outpost to send a message for help.

Aliens are the reason she’s in this predicament and Yce is probably no better than her captors…

Except he is…he is very different…and that’s something not even hate can ignore.

This book contains mature themes and sex.

My thoughts 💭

I liked Diana and Yce’s story. They both try to deny their feelings for each other until they can no longer fight it and it was cute.
