Rookie Moves is part of Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle Universe.

Rookies are supposed to be nobody’s. They aren’t supposed to play much. They aren’t supposed to attract attention. They definitely aren’t supposed to be getting in trouble. But when Grant Toolson joins the famed Seattle Professional Football team, he’s already made a name for himself, on the field and off.

When the team decides he needs to clean up his more than a little rough-around-the-edges image, in steps Emily Masterson, the prim and proper daughter of Seattle’s Mayor with a planned meeting.

Is his image cleaned up and does the relationship work out after hearing hushed conversations?

I am a contemporary romance author who is all about the feels, with the twists of sexy mixed in between. I have been writing since before I can remember.  Writing has always been a passion, that was kept it under wraps, stayed on the back-burner and never vocalized or followed through with my desire to be a writer, until I read a horrible book and thought: ‘I could do better than that!’

I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but living in beautiful San Diego with my little family while working during the day as a social worker working with the homeless.

My writing style is that I try to write realistic characters and situations. I want my books to be relatable and not to create too many eye rolls.

Thematically, the novels are friends to lovers, random hook-ups and office romances mixed with a whole lot of fun in the middle.

Review: The Dare by Elle Kennedy

Length: 354 pages

Published: June 16, 2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

College was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. I already have a hard time fitting in, so when my Kappa Chi sisters issue the challenge, I can’t say no.

The dare: seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class.

Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties…and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Except Mr. Popular throws me for a loop—rather than laughing in my face, he does me a solid by letting me take him upstairs to pretend we’re getting busy.

Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes.

But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see.

And the longer this silly ruse goes on, the greater the danger of it all blowing up in my face.

My thoughts 💭

The relationship starts off with a dare. Taylor is dared by her nemesis to hookup with a guy she chose. Conor is a well known ladies man but he’s grown tired of the same game and Taylor’s dare is just the game to get him out of his funk. They end up being really into each other and helps each other through their insecurities. I enjoyed their story with the weird starts, breakups, makeups and everything in between! I definitely recommend this!

Release Blitz: Throw Down by Teagan Kade

* NEW RELEASE *
Throw Down By Teagan Kade
Genre: Sports Romance

He wants to throw down. I want to throw up.
The Kings are the frat-party poster boys of Crestfall Academy, and Peyton King is top of the pile.
Quarterback, superstar, and O-bringer extraordinaire, I hate everything he represents.
I hate him.
But I can use him.
He’s going to make the perfect centerpiece for my newspaper exposé on campus parties.
I’ll get close to him, find out what makes him tick, and lay it out in black and white for the world to see.
If that kind of cutting journalism doesn’t get me out of this two-bit town, I don’t know what will.
It should be easy, so why do I become a giggling idiot at the sight of his opal eyes and sculpted arms?
I’m, like, totally not obsessed, right?
Right?
There couldn’t possibly be an actual beating heart in that beautiful cold, rock slab of a body, could there?
But questions alone do not a quality story make.
I need to dive deep into Peyton King to make this work.
I need all his dirty little secrets before I blow his world apart.

Throw Down is a full length, standalone bad boy sports romance with a triple side of steamy. There’s no cheating, no cliffhangers and a super sweet five-year HEA. Do not miss it.

Excerpt

“O. M. G. You don’t know who Peyton King is?”
Given the look of horror on her face, the mousy freshman does not.
The blonde know-it-all facing her is more than happy to fill her in. She lowers her voice for dramatic effect, oblivious to the fact I’m standing right behind her. “If you want to get off, and I mean blast off like never before, he’s your go-to.”
“Is he, like, really hot or something?” Ms. Mousy asks.
Blondie laughs, beer sloshing over the side of her Solo cup. “He has the Burj Khalifa of big cocks. I’m talking m-a-s-s-i-v-e,” extending her hands to what cannot be a physically possible size for any phallus, man or animal.
Looks like I’ve found a cheerleader, though I’m surprised she knows anything at all about Middle Eastern architecture.
Blondie nods her head towards the door. “Speak of the devil.”
I lean against the kitchen counter, Solo cup against my chest in a perfect imitation of everyone around me, because hey, I’m so one of them, right?
A guy enters, tall, dark, handsome in a center-of-the-universe kind of way. Everyone knows him, every girl smiles, and I know I’ve found my mark. He saunters towards the kitchen in a loose swagger, the black, collared tee he’s wearing a step up from most guys at this frat party.
Mousy and Blondie are stunned to near silence as someone hands him a beer beside me.
Play it cool, I think to myself.
He turns, drinking, and sees me.
Boom.
His eyes are as dark brown as you can get before black, smoky and mysterious and the biggest alarm bells I’ve ever seen short of iced tips.
There’s no question.
This guy is trouble with all the Ts.

Synopsis

Let me ask you a question:

If someone is vying for your spot on a team and just so happens to injure you during practice, would you believe it was on purpose?

Word around campus is . . . it was no accident.

That injury has cost me everything; my starting position, my junior year—and the draft. Now, I’m a senior fresh off recovery, struggling to find my groove, until the day I run into a nervous, fidgety, girl with freckles, in the dining hall.

They call Milly Potter The Baseball Whisperer, The Diamond Wizard, and The Epitome of All Knowledge. She believes in baseball. She breathes it. She’s the queen of an infamous dynasty, but no one actually knows who she really is, and she plans to keep it that way.

One mishap in the panini line, one miscommunication in the weight room, and many failed attempts at an apology equal up to one solid truth — Milly Potter never wants to speak to me again — no matter how good my forearms look.

Little do we both know, she’s about to become more than just my fairy ballmother.

My thoughts 💭

I loved this book even though the last few chapters had me in tears! This book gave me all the feels! I laughed and cried and wanted to punch Carson in the throat. Milly knows baseball. Carson needs her and he gets her and they are the most adorable couple ever! Then tragedy comes along and makes everyone cry until they kiss and make up. I definitely recommend this book!

He unlocked the front door and keyed in the security code. She stepped in and he closed the door, locking it and setting the night time alarm. They were in for the night, and they would not be disturbed.
He dragged his gaze up her body. The heels of those skin colored sandals accentuated her calves perfectly. The hem of her dress ended midway up her thigh, leaving just enough to the imagination. He didn’t need to use his imagination, he knew every glorious inch of her body. The soft fabric skimmed over her hips and dipped in slightly at the waist before framing her breasts. Her bare skin at the top almost glowed and he couldn’t wait to lay his lips on that sensitive spot between her shoulder and her neck. His gaze reached her eyes. Heat flared in them.  He lead her to sit on the couch. “Wait here.”
He walked to the guest bedroom and dug in the overnight bag Adam had packed for him. Right at the bottom he found what he was looking for. He walked back to the living room, placing the box of condoms on the table in front of her. She looked up at him, cocking her brow at him. “Is this show and tell?”
“Now’s not the time, Lys.” He barely recognized the raw-edged voice leaving his mouth. He pulled her off the couch. “We can either turn in for the night. Or you could take that dress off. Either way, we can discuss the things you’re keeping from me in the morning.”
She stepped up to him and turned, her breathing laboured. “I’m going to need you to help me unzip this dress.”

“Oh. And what are the duties of the perfect hostess?” The question may have seemed innocent but the twinkle in his eyes was anything but. He was wearing dark slacks and a black short sleeved button down with the top button undone. The heavy boots he wore to protect his foot only added to the appeal.
“Make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time. Dance with the guests. That kind of thing.”
His smile faltered for a moment. “I keep forgetting I cannot tell you what to do.”
She took a step toward him. “What would you tell me?”
“No dancing with other men.” The words came out on a growl.
He had no such restrictions when they were married. “Wow. Possessive much?”
“Well with my foot still strapped, dancing with you would be difficult. I wouldn’t want other men giving you what I can’t.” He winked at her and pocketed his wallet.
“That’s a rather caveman attitude.”
“Looking the way you do, if you were mine, caveman would be an understatement.” His phone pinged and he checked it. “Our Uber is here.”
Her curiosity was piqued, who cared if the driver had to wait. She took another step toward him. “Oh really? What else?”
Callum narrowed his eyes, seeming to consider the question. Would he answer her? Then he started advancing to her. “I’d want everyone to know you’re with me. I wouldn’t have more than one or two drinks so I could be alert enough to keep you safe. I wouldn’t want you to drink too much, either. Not to curb your fun. But to make sure you know and feel everything I intend doing to you at the end of the night. If I’m honest, I’d want to mark you. And you definitely won’t be dancing with any other men.” They were so close, she had to tilt her head to look into his eyes. “But you’re not mi—”
She clasped his face with both hands and brought his lips to hers.

When a beautiful brunette driver meets Nashville Slammers catcher, Sawyer McBain, at the airport, he figures it’s his lucky day. Slammers executive Addison Carlisle needs one little favor. Sure, she may have kinda maybe kidnapped one of her professional baseball players, but it’s for a really good cause. She desperately needs someone high-profile to auction off that night for the multiple sclerosis society she’s chairing, but he insists he wants a favor in return.

My Thoughts 💭

I enjoyed this book! Carter had to grow on me. He was hot tempered and kind of a jerk but he did get better when Sasha checked him! I liked Sasha she didn’t take Carter’s foolishness and she handled it well. I liked how they grew together. They had great chemistry and I loved their banter.
