Parker was the only person I could lean on, the only person I could talk to about my feelings. He pulled me out of my depression. He helped me see the light again.Parker
She was hurting, and I wanted to be there for her. When my brother Bo passed, I slipped into a deep depression, and even though I pushed Madalynne away at every turn, she never gave up on me. I owed her my life, and I wanted to spend the rest of mine making her happy. Even with our connections to others, my love for her never wavered. “You’re making the biggest mistake of your life you know,” my best friend, Kendall Walker, states as we approach the front doors of our high school.

“About what?” I ask, my hand on the door handle, frozen, waiting for an answer.

“Pushing Parker away—you’re going to regret it, Maddy. He’s amazing and you know it.” Her green eyes twinkle when she speaks about him. Kendall has a soft spot for Parker because his best friend also happens to be her boyfriend. We all

grew up together.

“Kendall, you have no idea what I’m going through,” I snap, causing her to jerk backward, her blond curls whipping back with her.

“Oh, I’m sorry I don’t know what it’s like to lose a brother in war…but you forget my mother died when I was four years old. Try experiencing that and then come back and tell me I have no idea what you’re going through.” Her tone is hurtful, and guilt immediately washes over me.

“Kendall.” My fingers reach for her arm. “I didn’t mean it like that. I’m sorry.”

She stares back at me, her icy green eyes piercing through me. I couldn’t move a muscle even if I tried. “You know what, Maddy? Save it. I’m tired of your bitchy attitude and your selfish ways.” She turns on her heel, tearing open the front

door and stomping inside.

Synopsis

Banner Spurlock knew the moment that he walked into Kilgore High School and saw Perry Street that life was about to get interesting.

Forced to move due to a problem at home, a problem in the form of his ex-best friend hating him for something that Banner’s father did, Banner doesn’t think very much could improve in his life.

He left his status as king of Benton High School behind and moved to a new school where not only would he have to try out for a new football team and prove himself, but he’d also have to find a place for himself in the hierarchy.

Only, the moment that he arrives, he knows that finding a place for himself won’t be too hard. Especially when his reputation follows him all the way to Kilgore, Texas.

***

Perry Street hates school. She hates her peers—most of them anyway—and she hates her classes. All she wants to do is finish her senior year, graduate, and find a place that will give her a full scholarship so that she doesn’t have to be stuck here forever.

That’s her goal, anyway.

Then she walks into first period, on her first day of her senior year, and sits down. Seconds later, he walks in and changes every single plan she’s ever made.

It isn’t long before Perry starts to fall for the bad boy who doesn’t care who he does and doesn’t impress. The boy makes her heart flutter. The boy makes her want things that she’s never wanted before. Not ever.

The boy brings trouble with him that nearly kills her.

My thoughts 💭

LLV books always makes me cry! I absolutely adored Perry and Banner’s story! They had amazing chemistry and were just perfect together. I definitely recommend reading this!

My sister was their everything. I’m their nothing.

They waited three hundred and sixty-five days after her disappearance to acknowledge I’m alive.

Their wicked games should scare me.

Except they don’t know I’m not much different than her.

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐤

Palmer Weston isn’t anything like her sister.

She’s sweet and naive. There are plenty of reasons why I should keep my distance.

Except where’s the fun in that.

I’m a boy who loves his toys and I’ve kept her on the shelf long enough.

It seems someone is determined on giving Palmer the same fate as her sister.

Problem is I’ve never been good at sharing.

{Glass Heart Savage is the first book in the Glass Heart Academy Series.}

My thoughts 💭

This was very suspenseful! Nothing makes sense and I can’t wait to read the next book! The guys bullying Palmer does get extreme but she’s stronger than they think. I enjoyed reading this book.

Review: When The Saint Falls by A.D. McCammon

Length: 298 pages

Published: January 16,2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

Thatcher Michaelson is a bully.

Arrogant. Cruel. Ruthless.

And the most attractive guy I’ve ever laid eyes on.

He’s the rebel of Westbrook high, and I’m merely the annoying goody two-shoes he dubbed the saint.

There must be something wrong with me. After nearly two years of dirty looks and constant humiliation, I’m still crushing on the guy who hated me on sight.

Then he kissed me and instead of the ice-cold gaze I was accustomed to, I saw passion burning behind his dark molten eyes.

Violet St. James doesn’t belong in my world.

Good. Kind. Pure.

She’s everything I’m not.

She doesn’t just look like an angel, she is one. And I’ve fought every impulse to make her mine.

But all my efforts went up in flames the second I tasted her sweet lips. My inability to stay away has changed everything.

She’s determined to break down all my walls, but my little saint doesn’t understand the consequences of her actions.

She tells me she’s not afraid of the fall.

But she should be.

My thoughts 💭

This was a pretty good read. Thatcher is a bit of a jerk towards Violet but it’s not really a secret they want each other. Both characters kind of annoyed me at times with Violet being kind of whiny and Thatcher being hot and cold towards Violet. They are in high school so it made sense. I was glad when they finally got their issues sorted. They were good for each other. Overall it was an enjoyable read.

Review: Fake It ‘Til You Break It by Megan Brandy

Length: 367 pages

Published: February 5, 2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

Fake.

That’s what we are.

That’s what we agreed to be.

I thought it would be harder, convincing everyone our school’s star receiver was mine and mine alone, but we played our parts well.

So well, the lines between us began to blur until they disappeared completely.

The thing about pretending, though, someone’s always better at it, and by the time I realized my mistake, there was no going back.

I fell for our lie.

And then everything fell apart.

It turned out, he and I were never playing the same game.

He didn’t have to break me to win.

But he did it anyway.

My thoughts 💭

I loved Demi and Nico’s story! Their chemistry was amazing! Demi thought she knew what she wanted but the more time she spent with Nico she realized she may be needing something different than she originally thought. Nico finally gets the girl he’s always wanted right where he wants her but secrets try to tear them apart but neither really ever gives up on the other. This was an enjoyable read. I definitely recommend!

Review: Ensnared by Sofia Daniel

Length: 366 pages

Published: November 14, 2019

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

“I have two weeks to protect myself from three horny, blackmailing vampires and their fangs.”

If I don’t obey them, the Stryx brothers will unleash my terrible secret.

A secret that will get me executed. Or worse.

Nero, Dante, and Raphael have trapped me right where they want:

Kneeling at their gorgeous feet, their unwilling slave.

They have my body, my obedience, and now they want my blood.

How long before I stop resisting their seductive games?

I must awaken my magic and fend them off before their kisses turn deadly.

Ensnared is book two of a reverse harem PNR academy bully romance series. It contains cursing, dark themes, and sexual situations.

My thoughts 💭

The Stryx brothers are still jerks for most of the book but they eventually get better. I actually started to like them. Alicia is strong and I adore her but she makes poor choices when feeling sympathy for people who didn’t care about her feelings at all! Helping Zariah out always comes back to bite Alicia on the a-&! I can’t wait to read the next book.

Review: Broken Destiny (Hidden Academy #1) by Serena Lindahl

Length:228 pages

Published: October 30, 2019

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

Having spent the last seven years in an orphanage, Zosia is shocked when someone tells her she’s a sphinx and the last guardian of the sentient library of Supernaturals. The elite academy which houses the powerful library rejects her because she isn’t perfect, but she knows instantly that the library is where she belongs. She ignores the academy’s decree and gathers others around her – four guardians who are just as perfectly imperfect as she is.

But her powers, her ability to shift, and her strength are tied up in the memories she can’t bear to access – memories of torture as a young girl – horrible acts which made her the way she is. When the library is all that stands between two ignorant factions trying to cause a war, it’s up to her and her guardians to prevent it. But first, she has to face her worst fears – including believing in herself.

***This book is a reverse harem, why choose, slow-burn adventure. Some topics may be triggering and/or of a sensitive nature. ***

My thoughts 💭

This was my first book by the author and I loved it. Everyone was unique in their own way! Zosia was so accepting of her new guardians no matter their “flaws”. She’s kinda fierce and I love her! Garrett, Avery, Bren and Kodi adore her and I can’t wait to see where their relationship goes! This was an enjoyable read and I can’t wait to read whatever is next!
