SYNOPSIS

When falling is easy, people often forget about the crash.

The time has finally come for Marcus Guzzi to step into his birthright. He’s the firstborn—the next boss to take over his family’s mafia and he’s never been more ready. With an MC encroaching on Guzzi territory, family expectations following him, and more responsibility on his shoulders than ever, what’s one more thing added to his ever-growing list of duties when his father asks for a favor? He just didn’t expect that favor to bring with it a woman he can’t ignore.

Cella Marcello is a lot of things. Single mother. Daughter of a former New York Underboss. A highly sought-after interior designer. Widow. The one thing she’s learned about life after all that’s happened in hers? It keeps moving on, and so does she. When a contract for a penthouse design takes her to Toronto, she isn’t ready for the gorgeously dangerous man waiting there to make sure she has everything she needs. Even if the thing she needs is him.

Marcus is everything she never wanted before now. He wasn’t even looking for someone like her. When the traumas of the past take center stage, these two will need to decide if the chance at forever is worth the risk.

EXCLUSIVE REVEAL EXCERPT

Sometimes, her designs came from things she wanted to see, because that’s what the client preferred. Knowing what little she did about Cara Guzzi, she thought perhaps the woman might prefer her spaces to be designed more to her personal tastes.

But that would be hard to do when apparently, this was meant to be a surprise. It wasn’t as though Cella could go have dinner with the woman, sit down and chat about what she wanted to see in her penthouse. Or hell, even bring the woman here to do it.

That made the job more interesting.

And tough.

Cella liked a good challenge, though.

It was only as she was coming out of the main bathroom that she realized how quiet Tiffany had become during her mother’s walk-through of the place. Not that she was concerned her daughter found trouble because that was the last thing her child seemed to do.

Soon enough, she found Tiffany.

In the living room.

With a man.

His back stayed turned to Cella as the unknown man kneeled in his sharp, black three-piece suit that seemed tailored-to-fit on his tall, lean form. Broad shoulders covered by expensive fabric led down a back made up by hard, firm lines that had Cella stopping in the entryway to the space instead of walking forward.

Well, that, and his laugh.

It was a lovely sound.

Deep.

Full of bass.

Every part of her heard it and felt it, she was sure.

It was then that Tiffany finally noticed her mother.

“Ma!”

The man stood and turned to find Cella standing in the entryway. At first, his face took her by surprise. If only because it felt like she was looking into a mirror of Gian Guzzi—only a younger version of the man, with just slight differences. Just enough, really.

A strong jawline. Squared chin. Dark, thick brows lifted when his smirking lips curved higher in a sensual smile. His brown eyes—flecked with gold—looked her over. His hair, a dark espresso color, had been cut into a style that allowed him a bit of length at the top but was trimmed short along the sides. Mostly, it just seemed as though he brushed the strands back to keep them from falling into those eyes of his.

Eyes that still hadn’t looked away from her.

“Cella,” he said. “Good to see you again.”

She swore it was like stepping back in time.

They’d met before.

At a very dark time.

Back then, Cella hadn’t taken the time to notice very much about Marcus.

“Marcus Guzzi.”

His smile deepened. “I hear you need me.”

Did she?

Cella dragged in a quick breath.

Her heart thumped hard.

What was that?

Release Blitz: Rekindled Prophecy by KC Freeman

Title: Rekindled Prophecy
Author: KC Freeman
Genre: Paranormal Fantasy
Series:  Greylyn The Guardian Angel #1

Guardian angel Greylyn saves innocent humans from their own inner demons or the more nefarious real ones. She’s overdue for some rest and relaxation, but upon finding her archenemy already entrenched at an authentic Irish bed and breakfast, she knows her vacation is over before it ever starts. Enemies for over four centuries, Greylyn has fought the dark guardian, Kael; and fought her desire for him. This time, however, she must work with the dashing dark guardian to protect innocent lives. It’s a deadly gamble. One she has no choice but to take. But the situation is far more treacherous than she realizes as a notorious fallen archangel holds the lives of a mother and her unborn child over Greylyn’s head to force her to consummate a dormant, but deadly prophecy. One so deadly that Heaven didn’t even write it down. Rekindled Prophecy: Greylyn the Guardian Angel is a contemporary fantasy novel with strong undertones of romance and sex appeal between two enemies – one working for Heaven, the other working for Hell.

“Oh, no! Edward? Did he escape? I came out here looking for him, but these guys,” she waved her hand towards the corpses littering the alley, “were after him and …”
“Yes, yes. I get it. You ran into the bad guys and as a bonus, you got a bloody dark guardian your first time on your own.”
“A what?”
“A dark guardian. The exact opposite of us, darling. You are just lucky I came along when I did. That one would’ve carved you up like a porterhouse steak.” He pushed himself off the ground. At his full height of well over six feet tall, he towered above her.
“Does this dark guardian have a name?” She didn’t know why it mattered that she find out his name. Jasper narrowed his eyes at her in obvious dis-approval.
“That one in particular is Kael,” Jasper spat. “Truly nasty piece of work. Avoid him at all costs. Hopefully, you will never have to see that creature again.”
He turned towards her and grabbed her by the upper arms, leaning forward so they were nose to nose. An aroma of whiskey and tobacco wafted into her face. “Greylyn, promise me that you will stay away from Kael. If he ever crosses your path, either annihilate him completely with your dagger through his heart and then rip it out of his body while it’s still beating; or run. Just run.”

After leaving the corporate world to raise her five rambunctious children with her husband in North Carolina, KC Freeman eventually found her way back to her lifelong desire to write fiction. First, she dipped her toes in the writing world by ghostwriting cozy mysteries and romance novels.
Once confident of her creative writing skills, she struck out on her own to write urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Prior to Rekindled Prophecy: Greylyn the Guardian Angel Series Book 1 she contributed a paranormal romance short story to the Autumn/Winter 2017 anthology The Bowman’s Inn. Another paranormal romance short story was published with the After Dark: 9 Modern Takes on Classic Fairy Tales anthology where readers can be introduced to an upcoming character in the Greylyn saga.
KC writes mostly urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels. She also spends a lot of time editing other authors’ manuscripts and college application essays.
When she is not writing, KC is running her children to practices, football games, swim meets, wrestling tournaments, and generally all over town. In her spare time…who are we kidding? She doesn’t have any of that.

Synopsis

The fate of the world rests on the shoulders of four sexy dragon shifters and the woman they’re sworn to serve…

It’s time for me to embrace my destiny as the next Black Dragon, the one who can control all five elements and bring balance to the realms.

I’ve bonded with two of my mates, Jasin and Auric, and now we continue our journey so I can become intimate with Slade and Reven. It’s a race against the Dragons we’re meant to overthrow, who will do anything to stop us from fulfilling our destiny.

We’re going to need allies if we want to defeat the Dragons, even if that means confronting the dark secrets of our pasts. But death and destruction follow us at every turn, and unlocking the hearts of my last two mates seems nearly impossible.

When all seems lost, will love be enough to save us?

SHAKE THE EARTH is the third book in this steamy fantasy romance series full of dark secrets, dangerous enemies, and smoldering desires

My Thoughts 💭

In this book you get to know Slade a lot better. The relationship between Slade and Kira gets better…finally! Reven is still a bit of a jerk but hopefully he gets the chance to tell Kira his true feelings! Kira’s father is revealed but that’s the least of her worries. I can’t wait to see how the guys and the father plan to get Kira out of danger!

***WARNING: This book contains violence and sexual situations. Not recommended for those under 18. ***

Hell hath no fury like an angel scorned. Justice St. Michaels is on a mission from God to avenge her parents’ death, even if it means hunting Seliki to the depths of Hell. Justice and her powerful friends won’t back down until His will is done. Can an angel, witch, vampire and elf take on Hell and come out alive?

JusticeSomething’s wrong.
I opened my eyes to pitch-black nothingness. Moving my shoulders, I felt the familiar weight of my backpack. At least that made it through, but where the heck was everyone? Was Hell supposed to be this dark? Sure, I didn’t expect a red, cloven-hoofed devil holding a pitchfork to greet me.I reached out, hoping to find a clue as to where my friends were, but only felt air. I stretched my foot forward, then stopped. For all I knew, there could be a cliff right in front of me. Yes, I had a heart full of faith, but I wasn’t going to take stupid risks, especially not here.A cold sweat ran down my spine; breath caught in my throat, heart pounding like crazy. Thudthudthudthud. I pressed a hand to my chest, somehow thinking it could force my heart to slow. Instead, heat flared on the back of my neck as electrifying panic spread through my body. Something about being surrounded by darkness triggered an alarm in my brain.No. Not here. Not now. Each gasp for air felt like a gulp of water as I drowned in anxiety. It can’t end this way.Falling to my knees, I closed my eyes. “Darien,” I croaked in between breaths, saying my friends’ names like a prayer. “Moira. Tom.The second I saw their faces in my mind’s eye, my heart slowed, my anxiety subsiding. Exhaling slowly, I focused on them as if they were my lifeline.Darien, with his playful smile and soulful grey eyes. I could get lost in them forever. Never did I imagine someone like him would love me, or vice versa. Who dates a vampire? He was a suave guy with a maturity beyond anyone I knew. The pebbles he’d throw at my window might as well have been him loudly declaring his love for the neighborhood to hear. The charming note he wrote me, how he leapt in front of me to take Seliki’s knives to the face, when he used his powers to deflect the sheriff… It all showed me he was in it for the long haul.Even when I was a broken, sobbing mess after my parents died, he was there for me. Never once did he try to take advantage, even though he could have turned me into his slave. Instead, he gave me all the power, let me decide how far I wanted to go. Now he was in Hell because of it.I clenched my fists in frustration. How could I do this to him? How could I drag my friends down with me?Moira… My sweet, vivacious, spirited Moira, who stood by my side no matter what. Always ready to fight bullies, demons, whatever came our way. She saved me in more ways than I could count. Who needed a sister when I had a friend like her? Why she hid her magic, I’d never understand, but it came in handy. She was always ready to follow me. And now look where it got her.
Tom, a gentle giant with a huge heart. That little boy with sky-blue eyes and corn silk hair, who grew way past six feet tall. With a swoon-worthy smile, it was no wonder Moira fell for him like a stone. At least something good came out of my tragedy.I stifled a sob when my thoughts settled on my parents. Seliki pushed them beyond their powers. To think their last thoughts were to protect me. I gritted my teeth. Never would I feel that helpless again. If Seliki wanted a battle, she had one coming.
Slowly, the heat left my body like a fleeting whisper. When I fluttered my wings, I barely heard them, the room (or wherever I was) … muffled the sound.Where in hell am I

Synopsis

-Tinks-

From the moment I befriended him, I set a conspiracy in motion.

A revolution.

Kill Peter Pan.

And I was their ultimate weapon.

I was also none the wiser, falling hopelessly and irrevocably in love with him as the years went by.

Just as they hoped I would.

But their plan comes to a screeching halt when Peter vanishes into thin air, something I’ll learn has nothing to do with Rosewood at all.

You see, Peter never truly loved me…because he loved a wench instead.

He lied to me, he used me, he left me, and he broke me.

Forever altering me in ways that incite revenge when Hook sweeps in with revelations and the ultimate truth.

Peter may have turned his back on me, but in the end, he and his precious little Wendy will choke on every last tear I once shed.

And I’ll have Hook to thank for that.

-Hook-

It’s no secret I always despised Peter Pan.

A common threat amongst the factions, I should’ve killed him when I had the chance, long before he sank his claws deep into Tinksley’s heart.

But his death at my hands wasn’t what the plan called for, despite how I felt for her.

I’d always been drawn to the girl, innocently enough at first…until that vile abomination marked her with his stamp, unleashing a sense of propriety I had no rights to.

Didn’t matter—he had her…and I wanted her.

Then like magic, he disappeared.

I thought my time had come, but the road to owning Tinksley’s heart comes with a price.

A price so dark and depraved it strips her of her purity and awakens the beast within.

All because of the truth.

Sometimes, there is honor in revenge, and it will be my utmost pleasure to watch as Peter Pan finally meets his maker.

His maker who will soon be my Queen.

My Thoughts 💭

This was a wonderfully written and dark retelling! Hook is bae! Lol! No seriously he was hawt and everything Tink didn’t realize she needed in her life. Tink started off kind of naive but her fierceness came out and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed this story and I can’t wait for the next book!

Synopsis

To unlock her powers she must mate with four sexy dragon shifters. One down, three to go…

I’m done hiding. I’ve stopped running. And I’ve finally accepted my destiny—to take four dragon shifters as my mates so I can become the next Black Dragon, the wielder of all the elements.

I’ve already bonded with Jasin, my smoldering soldier, and soon I’ll be getting intimate with Auric, my lofty prince, Slade, my grounded blacksmith, and Reven, my frosty assassin. Only then can we become powerful enough to stop the current Dragons, the overlords of our world.

But as we continue our journey, secrets are uncovered about my mates that make me question everything, even as things heat up between us. Yet the greatest secret of all lies in my own past—and it might destroy us completely.

My Thoughts 💭

The second book was just as interesting as the first. I enjoyed reading. Kira has some doubts about becoming the black dragon. She learns something shocking about her parents.

Auric and Jasin working together for Kira was hot. Slade and Reven are kind of coming around and it’s cute. I’m ready for them to be all in!

I’m interested to find out who Kira’s dad is!

Review: Duncan’s Pride by Xyla Turner

Length:136 pages

Synopsis

Portia:

I can handle it, I said.

Duncan can handle it, I said.

We can handle it, I said.

Shit, we can’t handle it. We said…

Duncan:

Portia had this undeniable belief that the two of us having a child would be a good thing. She had no evidence to confirm these suspicions, but I had first-hand experience. Therefore, I charted what having children would mean for my mental sanity. The percentage was low. It was especially low for my wife.

Also, I did not factor twins into the calculations.

Author’s Note: This is a novella and readers should read Book 1, Trent and must read Book 2: Duncan as those characters are heavily intertwined into Duncan’s Pride. Cameos by Mr. Vega and Faith, Trent and Bernie. Also, this book, specifically the Hero, is a bit different than a typical Xyla Turner book. It is IR, BWWM, and HEA, but Duncan is a different kind of perfect. I hope you give him another chance.

My Thoughts 💭

This was a sweet read! Duncan and Portia have twins and both of them have their own meltdowns. I still love Portia and Duncan! This was a really good addition to their story! I can’t wait to read the next book!

Synopsis

Four sexy dragon shifters. A huntress with a dark past. A bond that could save the world.

I’ve spent my entire life running from my past and staying out of trouble. That’s how I’ve kept alive ever since my parents were killed by the Black Dragon, who’s ruled the world under her oppressive talons for as long as anyone can remember.

But it’s hard to keep a low profile when four handsome strangers turn up in your village claiming you’re destined to save the world. According to them, they’ve been chosen by the gods to become elemental dragons—and I’m their mate.

Which means one day I’ll be the most powerful dragon of all, able to control all four elements. Assuming I can unlock my powers first…by getting intimate with each of my sexy mates.

Auric, the clever prince. Jasin, the cocky soldier. Slade, the protective blacksmith. Reven, the mysterious assassin. And me. We’re the only ones who can bring balance to the world and overthrow the Black Dragon—if she doesn’t tear us to shreds first.

STROKE THE FLAME is the first book in a new steamy reverse harem fantasy series.

My thoughts 💭

This was a great start to the series! There’s action and dragons! Kira is no pushover and will fight if necessary. I adored Auric and Jasin! They were all for finding Kira and being her mate. Slade and Reven are in denial and standoffish but hopefully that ends soon. Everyone is keeping secrets and it is kind of cute how they’re all cautious with each other and their mission.

But now that Ren is getting her powers and her enemies under control, her confidence is growing. A little hike into the mountains to uncover her mother’s last secret seems like no big deal with her guys by her side.

Too bad life has other plans. The farther Ren goes, the more other secrets surface. Secrets that threaten the fragile peace between the shifters and the fae. Secrets that could destroy the bond Ren’s forming with her mates. With unexpected enemies around every corner, it’ll take all her newfound strength to survive the fray.

*This is the second book in a steamy reverse harem paranormal romance series intended for readers 18+. Expect sexy situations, intense action, ongoing storylines, and a quartet of alluring wolf, bear, jaguar, and eagle alpha shifters you’ll wish you could make your mates.*

My Thoughts 💭

I’m enjoying Ren’s journey. She’s showing she’s not one to take foolishness no matter who it’s from. Aaron and Nate are the only ones she’s mated with so far so they’re okay. Marco and West are jerks but they’re her jerks I guess. I can’t wait to see how they respond to the attack on Nate’s estate.
