-Book Tour/Review- The Necromancer’s Bride by Brianna Hale!

Title: The Necromancer’s Bride
Author: Brianna Hale
Genre: Dark Fantasy Romance
Release Date:

When I was a child he brought me back from the brink of death. Since that day I have borne his mark, a black star in the center of my left palm. The villagers say it brands me as evil. I think it means something far worse. It marks me as his.

The disease that nearly killed me has returned to the village and children are dying. I’m the only one who dares to climb the mountain and learn his secrets. In exchange I’m to clean his house and help with his strange experiments, but Meremon wants more. He wants me. And it isn’t long before I discover that his demands are as twisted as his experiments.
Warning: This story is a dark fantasy romance with scenes of non-consent and dubious consent. Additionally, Meremon is a necromancer and enjoys unusual things. Some sex scenes might be strange or creepy for some readers.

As always with Brianna Hale books, no cheating, and a guaranteed happily ever after. THE NECROMANCER’S BRIDE is a novella of 16,000 words.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a short, good and creepy Halloween time book. Rhona has been shunned ever since the Necromancer saved her as a child and she ended up with his mark. She ends up going to him to help the kids in her village and he’s pleased his bride came to him. Meremon was actually kind of sweet! He just wanted his bride to be happy and satisfied. I thought it was a well written dark romance. I just wish it would’ve been longer!

There’s nothing Brianna Hale likes more than a large, stern alpha male with a super-protective and caring streak, and when she’s not writing about them she can usually be found with a book, a cocktail, planning her next trip to a beautiful location or attending the theatre. She believes that pink and empowerment aren’t mutually exclusive, and everyday adventures are possible. Brianna lives in London.

York by Laurann Dohner!

Betrayed by her government in a bid for alien technology, poverty-stricken human Sara is doomed to be a prince’s sex toy, until she’s rescued on a planet that doesn’t take kindly to slavers. Suddenly free, she’s an outcast on her new home, treated with distrust…by everyone except a gorgeous, kind, huge blue alien. Too bad he’s getting married the next day. His future bond mate is a horrid, abusive woman, and Sara has a way to save them both—she’ll convince York to bond with her instead.

My Thoughts 💭

3.5

York decided he wants a mate and goes finds a horrible woman to agree to bond with him on Relon. Sara witnessed the woman’s cruelty and felt bad for York. When York takes Sara home they click and it makes Sara curious about mate bonds. Sara convinces York to bond with her and then their honeymoon begins! York and Sara were okay. They aren’t my favorite couple of the series, they were kind of boring. They both were lonely but found the love they needed with each other. It was a nice story. 3.5✨

I’ve been half in love with Raff for a while and I can’t wait to read his story!

Discover Cecy Robson’s sensational Weird Girls series for the first time—or go back to the beginning …

The rest of the werewolf pack might consider Aric Connor to be omniscient and destined to save the world when evil returns to claim it. But for the most part, fifteen-year-old Aric ignores the confirmations of his powers, taking everything in stride until he meets her.

Celia Wird wasn’t supposed to awaken naked in the mountains of Colorado, not when she was just stalking her prey in a filthy alley several states away. She especially wasn’t supposed to meet Aric, the handsome werewolf who comes to her aid.

As a supernatural tasked with protecting the earth, Aric sympathizes with Celia’s dangerous situation. He’s also struck by her beauty and kindness. Yet, as much as Aric welcomes Celia, her arrival isn’t a peaceful one.

Dark forces stir in Celia’s presence, resolute on killing her. Aric and his inner beast are adamant about keeping Celia safe and with them. But there’s a time and a place for love, and Aric and Celia might not survive long enough to find it.

*NOTE* Gone Hunting is a prequel to the Weird Girls urban fantasy series. It can be read as a standalone.

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the prequel to Aric and Celia’s story and it was just wow! I couldn’t stop reading it! The storyline is amazing and I need to know what happens now! Aric and Celia were so adorable I could barely stand it lol! Their interactions were too cute! This book absolutely sucked me in and I’ll definitely be reading the series!

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A paranormal MC romance with some action! I enjoyed reading this book. Jagger was so sweet, protective and patient with Tessara I just loved him. Tessara has to grow on me a little but once she understood about mates I started to like her she became kind of bada** at the end and I was loving it! Girl power!! I loved the action and the story line! I can’t wait to read what is going to happen next with everyone!

Duke by Jax Hart!

Synopsis

She’s his obsession.
He’s her downfall.

Raised in a remote town by men who would die for her, Shanna can’t wait to escape years of being babysat by the archaic mentality of the men her father’s MC. They live by a code. A code she’s done being part of.

But even in isolated places… there are people dying to take you down.
Duke and Shanna must decide if they are going to fight for their love or watch it crash and burn when both of them are forced to make choices they can’t come back from.

How far would you go for love?

Duke…

I stopped in on a whim to see the old dive bar where my old man used to spend his days–getting drunk with his boys from the MC. But when I walked in and saw her… I knew I would be back and not just for another round, but to make Shanna mine.
She’s asking for trouble teasing me the way that she does.

She’s made a mistake.
A bad one.

I’m not like the pathetic boys at her college. I’m an ex-marine, and I’m gonna make my BAD GIRL pay. But I wasn’t expecting her to put up a fight. Taming her just might be the biggest battle I’ve faced yet, but I’m determined to make it the sweetest victory for us both.

She’s my angel, but I’m her devil.
Together we’re gonna burn.

Narrated by Rodney Falcon

Overall:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Performance:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Story:⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked the story but felt it was too much back and forth. One minute Duke is going to claim Shanna then the next he’s going to do what’s best for her. I didn’t like how Shanna couldn’t make up her mind with pursuing her dreams and her loved ones had to force her hand. She seemed a little weak. Duke was very alpha male but he was annoying trying to do what’s “right” for Shanna. They had good chemistry but I was kind of disappointed they didn’t get together for real until the very end. Overall it was an okay read and performance.

Sofa King Hard by Madison Faye

Synopsis

Big. Strong. Really good with his hands.

Great at fitting into tight spaces.

No job too hard. No job too dirty.

No stopping him once he’s unchained…

The Marines made me tough. Prison hardened me. Five long years I’ve been away—chained up like a beast without knowing the touch of a woman, serving time for a crime I didn’t commit.

I’m out now, and the proud owner of Sofa King Movers. I’m supposed to keep my head down and play nice, but that’s before I lay eyes on her.

Jillian Lafayette. Tempting, beautiful, and very off-limits. But five years does something to a man. It makes him hungry. It makes him crazy, driven, obsessed. And when I catch her being a bad girl with her hands where they don’t belong?

Oh, there’ll be no stopping me from claiming what’s mine and showing her just how hard I can be.

I know she’s a client. And her shithead of an ex-husband has mob ties I can’t pretend aren’t there. But one look and I’m addicted. One taste, and I know she’s mine.

Mine to protect. Mine to keep safe.

…Mine to keep for all for myself.

Five years is a long time. Jillian’s let the leash off the beast, and once I get my dirty hands on her, there’ll be no stopping me from taking it all.

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well this was a hot read! Kane hasn’t had a woman in years and Jillian is recently divorced. They meet when Jillian uses Kane’s moving company and the sparks fly as soon as he catches her with her hand in her pants! Lol! Kane and Jillian were so cute!

From The Ashes by Amber Lynn Natusch!

Synopsis

Piper Jones can’t catch a break.

After a lifetime of animosity and indifference from the supernatural community, she thought she’d finally found a home with the vampire king’s enforcers. Then the dark and mysterious Merc walks into her life, and it takes a disastrous turn for the worse.

Now under attack by enemies both known and unknown, Piper has little choice but to flee her refuge—and start over in a place few vampires ever go. Rural Alaska seemed to fit the bill, except for Knox and his crew of werewolves. The pack shares a connection with Piper that few of them can explain, and none of them can escape. With time running out for answers, Piper must fight the demons of her past to ensure her future—or die trying.

my thoughts 💭

3.5✨✨✨

Piper reminds me of the avatar character lol! She can control nature. I enjoyed the story and the action! I just hate that Merc got put under a spell that had him trying to kill Piper and Piper went and started falling in love with Knox. I thought the book was well written I just don’t care for the love triangle part. Don’t the vampires mate for life? Guess I’ll be reading the next book lol

Note: This story contains disturbing content that may be offensive to some readers.

My thoughts 💭

⭐️⭐️

I felt like there was a book I should’ve read prior to this one. It seemed like the book started in the middle and you have no idea what’s going on. I have no clue what happened to Daisy. At one point it was talking about a guy doing something to kids at the daycare but later on it seemed like she had cancer? How’d Hanson even know the guy he killed was a match so Daisy could even get his liver?

“Gah! You want this book! Need to know this story! All I can say is Yes!! Yes you need Quinn James in your life! Yes Heidi McLaughlin is continuing all the things I loved about her Beaumont Series into this Next Generation!!” -Amber, The Geekery Book Review
Music is his passion. It’s in his blood. Yet, Quinn James isn’t sure if stardom is right for him. His family wants him to join a band, and follow in his father’s footsteps but fear holds him back. He can’t explain it, and when he tries, no one understands what he’s afraid of or why he’s content playing coffee shop gigs where no one knows him.

Eleanora Boone wants to live her life, not the one her very southern parents planned for her, which is why she chose a college thousands of miles away. Now she’s faced with returning home or doing something that would defy her family. When an opportunity to visit Los Angeles falls in her lap, she uses it to become someone different.

California is everything Eleanora thought it would be, and even more so when she meets Quinn, the shy, reserved and brooding musician who’s the complete opposite of the guys she’s used to back home.

For the first time, Quinn’s smitten. The new, mysterious waitress has him wrapped around her finger, and he finds that he is finally able to open up and trust someone outside of his family circle.

But living a different life comes with its risks, and for Eleanora, that risk is a secret that has the power to destroy both o
3.5✨✨✨

So far I’m liking the series. I love how family oriented the family is! You get to see what’s going on with the rest of the family in this book as well as get Quinn and Elenora’s story. I really liked Quinn but Elenora was sort of annoying. I liked the book and thought the writing was great but their chemistry just wasn’t so much there for me compared to the last two couples.

“You should do it, El. My brother lives there,” Sofia adds. Her brother, right. For the past two years, she’s told me about her brother. In fact, she tells anyone who will listen. He’s famous or is going to be, yet refuses to tell us his name, but talks about him an awful lot. He goes by Q, according to her. It’s some artist name or whatever. The thing is, when you’ve lived with someone for two years, you meet their family. Granted, this is the first time she’s met my parents, but my brother and sister have come to visit, and she’s had the dubious honor of meeting Roy. The only person in Sofia’s family that we’ve met is her mom, Alicia. Never the brother, which is a shame because anytime him and Sofia are together in pictures, he looks super-hot, and way out of my league.

Rhys Rivera is the star short-stop for the Longview Lumberjacks. Many know him, even more love him. He has a pretty face, a quick smile, and an air of danger about him that everyone seems to adore.

He’s not known as the bad boy of baseball for nothing.

Fortunately for his uncle, Rhys wants absolutely nothing to do with the family business and runs before anyone can figure out which way is up.

Her sweet little body and positive outlook on life make him want to laugh at how naïve she is when it comes to the way of the world.

One time is all he needs—or so he tells himself.
But then two pink lines change everything, and all of a sudden, he doesn’t have just himself to worry about anymore.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This wonderfully written book gave me all the feels! I have to warn you that you’ll cry but it will get better! I just loved Rhys and Henley! So far they’re my favorite couple in the series! The twists and drama in this book definitely kept me reading to find out what’s going to happen next! Overall, I thought the book was definitely hot and sweet and I absolutely recommend this series!
