Synopsis

Tired of dealing with the sexist, dominant men at her corporate job, Samantha Wilde started her own company. After hearing some life-altering news, she literally bumps into a man who knows what he wants regardless of her situation and is willing to pursue her no matter the costs.

Joshua Kelly is a successful business man. He has Samantha in his sights for not only business, but pleasure! He makes her a business proposition that she tries to refuse, then he moves in for the kill with a relationship proposal. She is almost helpless to stay away from him, because he represents the type of dominant man that she wants to avoid but his touch is addictive. Maybe this kind of dominant isn’t so bad.

This story is about the realities of sexual encounters and how to move on from what you cannot change. Based loosely on a many true stories.

***Standalone Novel, BWWM, Interracial Romance***

My thoughts 💭

I enjoyed Samantha and Joshua’s story. Samantha did get a bit annoying with her running and not considering Joshua’s POV in some situations. They complimented each other well besides that. This was an enjoyable read & I definitely recommend!

Synopsis

“I’m in control of everybody in my world…except her.” ~ Billionaire Drake Santoro, Lunchtime Chronicles: Mocha Latte

Drake Santoro

I did everything right, but Deja Cummings walked out of my life as if I never mattered. She’s icy, sexy as hell, and mine. She walked away once, it won’t happen again.

Deja Cummings

I had nothing back then, but I thought I had him. I was the girl who was invisible in a room full of people, but he saw me. Drake Santoro was wealthy, powerful, and mine. I trusted him, but I shouldn’t have. Now, I’m all about business, even if my body yearns for Drake’s touch, a latte.

MOCHA LATTE is a billionaire romance featuring a BWWM. It is a part of the Lunchtime Chronicles series which can be read as standalone novels.

WARNING: The Lunchtime Chronicles is different from previous Siera London books. MOCHA LATTE is enemies-to-lovers hate romance with a sexy alpha male, explicit sex, and a happily ever after.

My thoughts 💭

This was a cute and sweet quick read. Deja and Drake are meant for each other and Drake won’t let anything stop him from having the woman who’s always owned his heart. I enjoyed this book.

Synopsis

Banner Spurlock knew the moment that he walked into Kilgore High School and saw Perry Street that life was about to get interesting.

Forced to move due to a problem at home, a problem in the form of his ex-best friend hating him for something that Banner’s father did, Banner doesn’t think very much could improve in his life.

He left his status as king of Benton High School behind and moved to a new school where not only would he have to try out for a new football team and prove himself, but he’d also have to find a place for himself in the hierarchy.

Only, the moment that he arrives, he knows that finding a place for himself won’t be too hard. Especially when his reputation follows him all the way to Kilgore, Texas.

***

Perry Street hates school. She hates her peers—most of them anyway—and she hates her classes. All she wants to do is finish her senior year, graduate, and find a place that will give her a full scholarship so that she doesn’t have to be stuck here forever.

That’s her goal, anyway.

Then she walks into first period, on her first day of her senior year, and sits down. Seconds later, he walks in and changes every single plan she’s ever made.

It isn’t long before Perry starts to fall for the bad boy who doesn’t care who he does and doesn’t impress. The boy makes her heart flutter. The boy makes her want things that she’s never wanted before. Not ever.

The boy brings trouble with him that nearly kills her.

My thoughts 💭

LLV books always makes me cry! I absolutely adored Perry and Banner’s story! They had amazing chemistry and were just perfect together. I definitely recommend reading this!

Synopsis

Baby’s heat is coming…

After years of assuming she was a beta, discovering her omega designation in a biker bar surrounded by alphas isn’t exactly fulfilling any fantasies for Baby. She only wanted to get laid, not get knotted, bitten, and bonded. Now Baby’s entire life is about to turn upside down.

With the sexual frenzy of her heat on its way, she needs to find a pack, a nest, and alphas she can trust.

The Late Night Howlers have given up hope…

After years of waiting for an omega to choose them, this motorcycle club of alphas is ready to move on with their lives. Until one sweet woman takes a chance on them.

A rundown bar and apartment building is no place to spoil a new omega but the Howlers are determined to do right by Baby when she needs them. All they have to do is keep her satisfied while resisting the mouthwatering temptation to bite and bond her, permanently.

When a rival MC comes sniffing after Baby, her safety is put at risk and the Howlers may be torn apart forever.

My thoughts 💭

I enjoyed Baby and her Howlers! This was a sweet and steamy story with a bit of betrayal. I definitely recommend reading for some hot alphas and an adorable but fierce omega!

Review: The Dare by Elle Kennedy

Length: 354 pages

Published: June 16, 2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

College was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. I already have a hard time fitting in, so when my Kappa Chi sisters issue the challenge, I can’t say no.

The dare: seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class.

Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties…and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Except Mr. Popular throws me for a loop—rather than laughing in my face, he does me a solid by letting me take him upstairs to pretend we’re getting busy.

Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes.

But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see.

And the longer this silly ruse goes on, the greater the danger of it all blowing up in my face.

My thoughts 💭

The relationship starts off with a dare. Taylor is dared by her nemesis to hookup with a guy she chose. Conor is a well known ladies man but he’s grown tired of the same game and Taylor’s dare is just the game to get him out of his funk. They end up being really into each other and helps each other through their insecurities. I enjoyed their story with the weird starts, breakups, makeups and everything in between! I definitely recommend this!

Somehow stealing deaths allure

Trigger Warning: This book contains many triggers and this warning should be taken seriously. The sexual and graphically depicted scenes in this novel are not for the squeamish and will be disturbing for some readers.

My thoughts 💭

This was a dark but addictive retelling of The Night Before Christmas. I just had to know how it ended lol! Heed the trigger warnings! Sarah and the Skeleton King(John) have both been through hell. John with his abusive mother and Sarah with her abusive kidnapper. They both are interested in each other and finally end up together after a little bloodshed. I enjoyed their story.

Synopsis

I’m leaving.
Or at least, I thought I was leaving…
…until the future King of Argyle got me pregnant.

It was supposed to be one little sailing trip with a childhood friend.

A final goodbye to the islands of my youth.

It’s never that simple, though, is it?

Because my childhood friend has turned into a full-grown, hot-blooded man, who happens to be the future King.

Prince Theo is tall. He’s commanding.

He’s everything that’s been missing from my life, and he’s not afraid to show me all the reasons I should stay.

…The main reason being him, and the way he makes my thighs clench.

My cheeks burn.

My heart thump.

Anytime we’re together, my body and mind are at war.

My body always wins.

Again, and again, and again.

We shouldn’t be together.

I shouldn’t be here at all.

And I definitely shouldn’t be pregnant.

Now, the question is—will Prince Theo still want me to stay when he knows I’m carrying his heir?

Wrong Prince is Book 6 of the Royally Unexpected series. The Little Mermaid gets retold with a dash of accidental pregnancy and a whole lot of heat. Read Books 4 and 5 for the complete story of all the Princes of Argyle!

Note: Previously titled Knocked Up by the Wrong Prince.

My thoughts 💭

This book was okay but it just wasn’t for me. Cara decides to finally do something for herself but a friend convinces her to enjoy one last trip before they go on about their lives. On the trip the discover that they have an intense connection but don’t act on it. Scheming family puts them in a bind and Cara agrees to go on a tour of the kingdom before Theo’s coronation. They finally act on their feelings but don’t tell each other that they want more.

Review: The Devil’s Plaything by Dani René

Length: 260 pages

Published: March 26, 2020

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

A brand new dark mafia romance from USA Today Bestselling Author, Dani René.

Victor Cordero is the devil.

Cruel. Sadistic. Heartless.

Sofía Montero is an angel.

Beautiful. Sweet. Intoxicating.

My father stole from him, but papá was stupid.

He got caught, and now I’m in trouble.

She’s my payment. My plaything.

Too innocent for my games, but it doesn’t stop me.

The man I’ve hated all my life has come for me.

His threats are meant to break me, but I’m stronger than I look.

She spits her hate at me, but she revels in our game.

Her strength makes me want to see her break.

I’m merely a plaything for the devil himself.

Owned by the most dangerous man in Colombia.

I promised to release her once she’s paid her dues.

But you should never make a deal with the devil.

I will make him feel.

And when that day comes, he’ll break for me.

My thoughts 💭

This book gave me mixed feelings. Sofia’s taken as payment since her father was stealing from Victor. Victor starts to realize he has feelings for his spirited captive. Their feelings didn’t flow well to me. She started off as a strong young woman but idk what happened. One second she craves the darkness a man like him can offer, then she hates him, then she’s shy (maybe because of her age?🤷🏾‍♀️) with him and then she loves him. With Victor he was sort of hot and cold then he loves her and since he’s the king of Columbia I would think he wouldn’t discard a woman who he thinks betrayed him but punish her himself after gathering more info…It was an okay read for me. I liked their happy ever after.

Review: Happily Undead In Dark River by Grace McGinty

Length: 257 pages

Published: January 30, 2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

There was no wake-up call quite like almost exsanguinating your main love interest while being compelled by your unhinged Maker.

No longer hanging onto her past as Mika McKellen, human, Raine was determined to take her new life and live it at one hundred percent. She was no longer an unwilling victim. She was a badass vampire and the (slightly exhausted) lover of several supernatural hotties. She’d been through enough now, so she was ready for a happily-ever-after that was filled with love and rainbows and lots and lots of mind-blowing sex. Sure, there was still the looming threat of an investigation by the ruthless Vampire Nation, but she’d done nothing wrong.

But when her long overdue, first real date with the sexy Sheriff is interrupted by someone bleeding on the floor of the diner, Raine began to wonder if there was even such a thing as happily-ever-after? It sure seemed like the Universe was mad she hadn’t died in that ditch all those months ago.

But no one was unlucky enough to die twice in one year, right?

Happily Undead in Dark River is the second book in the Dark River Days series. This is a cliffhanger-free book with a HEA. May contain romantic elements suitable for more mature audiences.

My thoughts 💭

I liked this book…Raine and her men are entertaining. Raine keeps attracting trouble wherever she goes and a another psychopath is interested in her….severed heads of the enemy isn’t the way to Raine’s heart…I can’t wait to read the next book!

Synopsis

Havenfall Harbor

Home for wayward and orphaned supernaturals.

Bridging the gap between supernaturals and humans is my only goal, or so I thought. Keeping myself alive and out of trouble is proving harder than expected.

Getting a job as the first human liaison at Havenfall was a dream come true, until I realize it’s not just humans that don’t want the species mixing.

Someone doesn’t want me a here, and they aren’t making it a secret that they will do just about anything to make sure I don’t stick around.

Seems like I have a few things to teach them about underestimating my determination.

Welcome to Havenfall where not just the students bite.

My thoughts 💭

Quinn is just trying to do her job and someone who doesn’t like humans or want them around starts to target her. Griffin and Evan want to protect her and ease her into the idea of being their mate. The threat on Quinn’s life blow the slow and steady plan out of the water. I enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read the next one!
