Kain and Mia’s story pulled me in and didn’t let me go! I loved their chemistry. I’m definitely going to give the first two books of the series a try! I enjoyed this mafia romance!

Guzzi Duet Legacy, #1
Publication Date: July 8, 2019
Genres: Adult, Romantic Suspense, Organized Crime. Erotic Romance
The son of a prominent Cosa Nostra Don, Corrado Guzzi’s life should have been all mapped out. He would be what every other Guzzi man was, too—made, mafia. It’s their way. But when given another choice, the chance to be something more, he takes it. Even if it comes with strings.
It’s there that he might find where he belongs, and Alessio Sorrento. The man who could change his whole life.
This love thing? It should have been easy, but they made it hard. Nothing about a relationship like theirs is simple. Dictated by rules, weighed down with things left unsaid, and already hanging by a frayed thread.
This is what love looks like before, and after.
Before she came along.
And after she was there.
It takes one woman to change everything.
Ginevra Calabrese wasn’t ready for this—for them.
So, what happens now?
*
NOTE: Corrado (book one) and Alessio (book two) are a duet within The Guzzi Legacy series, and should be read in order. All other titles in the series are standalone. This is NOT a love triangle.
Ginevra wiped away the one tear that escaped the corner of her eye as the elevator came to a stop on the highest floor. It opened to the hallway leading to the penthouse. She took another quick, deep breath; she had her weak moment in private, and now it was done.
Right?
Yep.
She decided.
Soon—surely—she would be back home in New York with her sisters. Back where she belonged, and far away from a complicated man, and whatever mess he had dragged her into here. That’s what would happen.
Ginevra unlocked the penthouse and opened the door to the dark entry. She couldn’t remember if Corrado had turned off the lights when they left, or not. Probably, though. Kicking off the heels and pulling down the wet straps of the dress around her arms, she tried to remember where the light switch was for the damn entry.
Then, the lights came on.
All at once.
She spun around fast, letting go of the straps of her dress as she froze in place at the sight of a stranger leaning against the wall at the very end of the hallway. A man, actually. His shaggy, dark hair hung over his eyes, and yet even through the dark strands, she could still see the stormy blue eyeing her from the side.
His lips, the lower fuller than the top, stayed affixed in a grim line as he chewed on something in his mouth—gum, maybe? Her gaze traveled over the golden hoops in his nose, his steel cut jaw line, and the few days’ worth of facial hair covering his cheeks and throat. Even under the leather jacket he wore, and the black jeans that molded to his thighs and ass, she could plainly see he was fit by the way the material of his white T-shirt stretched across the bands of muscle that made up his chest.
He leaned against the wall like he didn’t have a care in the world, his black, scuffed combat boots hooked one over the other, despite the fact she could clearly see the tension wrapping his body. Like he was forcing himself to stay right there, and not come any closer.
My God.
He was devastating.
That was the first and only word to come to her mind.
Devastating.
A lot like Corrado, really. That first look at him had made her silent, and took away her breath, too. This was no different.
Except she didn’t know this man, and why in the hell was he here?
“Who are you?” she asked, her voice faint.
The man smiled.
Just a ghost of one, though.
He lifted his head a bit, giving her a better view of the planes that made up his handsome face, and the war that raged in his stare. “Alessio Sorrento—I like Les, though.”
Les.
That text …
“But it ain’t about me, is it?” Alessio asked, his voice a deep bass that came off both edgy and dark. “Lately, it’s been all about you, Ginevra.”
How did he know her name?
She wondered …
No one had said either way—man or woman, they didn’t say who the other person was for Corrado. She hadn’t assumed, but a part of her just figured it was a woman because that was the default. Not that she cared either way who someone loved or fucked behind closed doors. That was their business, and as long as people were happy, what did it matter?
But now, staring at this man, and the way he looked at her like he was both curious, but he wished she would drop dead on the fucking spot, too, made her think …
This was him.
This man was Corrado’s … person. They were a them before Ginevra ever came into the picture, clearly. Those shoes with different sizes on the rack when she first arrived at the penthouse; the different style jackets, like they belonged to entirely different personalities; the offhanded remarks Corrado made without realizing it—and we use it, he’d said—and then ignored when she questioned him; or even his hesitations when he nearly slipped up like telling her the master bedroom was his, but he’d almost said something different.
She knew now.
It meant these two men had been a thing for a while. She was in the middle. He came before her. She understood what she had missed.
It hurt worse because of it.
“Yeah, it’s been all about you, huh?” Alessio smirked, adding lower, “And I’m here to find out why that is.”

Synopsis
For as long as anyone could remember, the Drakos family and the Petrakis family have been at war. In recent years, after too much blood has been shed and Theodoros Petrakis’s oldest son, Andreas, loses his wife, both families decide to put an end to their war with an arranged marriage between Giannis Drakos’s oldest son, Aris, and Theodoros’s oldest daughter, Evangelia. With their upcoming engagement, the war between two powerful families will end, and the streets of Athens will finally be clear of blood.
Registered nurse Mia Williams cancels her engagement to her long-time fiancé, leaving her lost and unsure of what to do with her life until one night something happens that changes everything. When Mia comes across a man dying outside of her apartment, she must save this mysterious yet dangerous man who comes into her life unexpected, changing it forever. Mia still isn’t quite sure yet if it’s for the better or worse.
Aris comes to New York from Greece to handle some business on his father’s behalf when he is attacked and left for dead. Fortunately, a young woman finds him and saves his life, and Aris must find a way to repay her back the debt of saving his life. But Aris finds that when it comes down to Mia Williams, a debt doesn’t always have to be paid with blood and money, but sometimes with love and lust.
As Aris becomes more attached to the woman who saved his life, till the point that he doesn’t want to go back to the woman he has to get engaged to, Aris must make a choice. Either he must choose his new-found attraction with Mia or follow the word of his father and get engaged to Evangelia.
My Thoughts 💭
I loved this book! Aris is left for dead and Mia saves him. They grow close while he’s recovering but not close enough for Aris to tell her who he truly is. They fall for each other knowing that Aris has an arranged engagement that he’ll have to commit to when he goes home. When Mia is in danger Aris protects his woman at all costs. This was an interesting mafia romance and I definitely recommend!

Gian Guzzi’s problems are piling up faster than he knows how to handle them. A murdered grandfather, an unpredictable mafia, and a new boss that threatens both his family’s legacy and his life. He has a duty to the oath he swore. First to la famiglia, and only then to himself.
Duty. Legacy. Love.
Always in that order.
Or that’s how it should be.
With the violent uncertainty that has become constant in his days, Cara Rossi should have been only a distraction for him to enjoy. Until she becomes so much more.
The lies?
Their life?
All this love?
It doesn’t matter how much it entangles together; it’ll still unravel eventually.
And when it does … may God save them all.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This trilogy is a must read for mafia romance lovers! It was everything! Renzo and Lucia’s are finally reunited and all the feels are still there. They both are still upset with everyone but I’m glad they were able to get past their hurt and mend fences to be one happy family that made me cry happy tears! Renzo makes everything seem so simple. Lucia couldn’t breathe.
Oh, God.
She couldn’t fucking breathe.
She felt frozen on the side of the road. Standing just beyond the sidewalk, people blew behind her going in all directions. She could see people walking on the other side of the street, too. Going to somewhere, or coming from something. She didn’t know, but they all seemed to be moving in slow motion.
Her world had slowed.
Almost stopped.
Like her heart.
She was sure her manicured fingernails were digging crescent marks into her palms, but fuck, she couldn’t feel anything. Nothing but the beats of her heart. A thump-thump-thumping beat that felt like it was about to pulse its way right out of her chest, if it were possible.
She couldn’t hear anything, either. The city had seemed so loud to her that day. Almost two weeks in New York, and for whatever reason, the city came alive more than ever. And just like that, with a split second, it turned into nothing. No noise; nothing. There was only a rushing in her ears—her blood, she knew.
She had seen him.
Didn’t she?
She saw Renzo.
He was different, sure. Gone was the young man, and in his place was someone else who looked like him and stood like he used to. Gone was that leather jacket that he told her once he had won in a bare-knuckle boxing match. In its place was a new leather jacket full of zippers and opened so she could see the barest hint of ink peeking out at his throat. Strong features dusted with dark facial hair, and eyes so fucking expressive.
Those eyes hadn’t changed.
Even from all the way across the street, it had been his eyes that she noticed first.
Hadn’t it been him?
It had to be him.
Where had he gone?
Lucia felt like she had suddenly walked into the Twilight Zone, and absolutely nothing felt right or made sense. She knew that she probably looked like an idiot standing there on the side of the street staring across as though a ghost had just crossed her line of vision.
But that’s exactly what it felt like, too.
He was the fucking ghost.
A ghost from her past.
Sort of.
Renzo couldn’t be from her past when he had never left her mind, right? He still felt like a constant presence in her life every single day. He was never far from her thoughts. He was always in her heart, even though it felt empty, too.
God.
She couldn’t date because this man had ruined everything for her. Sex, men … love. All of it. She didn’t even try.
Her mind screamed move.
Her body didn’t.
She closed her eyes, and opened them again, looking away from the passing cab to stare across the street, only to find it was empty. Coming to visit Rose had been a last-minute decision—she kept in contact with Renzo’s younger sister just because she felt like it was the right thing to do. Sometimes, she didn’t call as often as she wanted to, and she certainly didn’t get to visit as much as she should, but Rose had never said anything one way or another.
And Diego …
That kid couldn’t wait to get on the phone with her. He could chat for hours about the most mundane things, but Lucia didn’t care. She would sit there and listen to him go on and on as long as he wanted her to listen.
She figured that since she was in the city, the least she could do was stop by. Especially as she still wasn’t sure when she was going back to Cali.
But she had not been expecting to see …
Well, had she even seen him?
It felt like her mind and heart had played a trick on her. It was as though she stepped out of that car, and saw what she wanted to see, and maybe … not what was there. Was that even possible?
Lucia didn’t know.
It felt like it.
Jesus.
But in her heart?
Her gut?
Her lungs?
That lost soul of hers?
It all said the same thing … she’d seen him.
She knew.
The parts of her that mattered—they knew.

My Thoughts 💭

Zoe, Taras and sweet Emma! I loved them. Zoe comes to the states to be Emma’s nanny. She becomes close with her charge and lists for her mafia boss employer. Taras tried to keep things casual but their true feelings come out and it’s so cute. Taras still has scars from his first failed marriage. Zoe helps him see he’s not as much of a devil as he thinks he is but only a little bit and she loves him anyway. I enjoyed this mafia romance and I definitely recommend it!
