Synopsis

I was abducted.

They took me from my mates and threw me into a cell with a monster.

But they should have known I’m the biggest monster of them all.

With more and more females disappearing, I need to find out who is really behind all the kidnappings and experiments. But what I discover will test my mates and me…and from the betrayal…hate will bloom.

I have new allies, new enemies, and a whole lot of bodies piling up.

Are you scared of me? You should be.

*18+ Reverse Harem Romance. Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse/assault that some readers may find triggering. Along with graphic sex scenes and violence. This is a dark book*

My thoughts 💭

OMG this book was amazing! I was hooked from beginning to end! Dawn is still bada** but learns she can lean on her mates when needed. Her mates are amazing and I loved how they love and care for her and always have her back! This book was wonderfully written with action, secrets and steam! I can’t wait to read the next one!

Synopsis

We’re ready to die for the sins of our fathers, but is she?

Zac, Apollo, Cassius, Reuben

They told us we were the cure.

That we were special.

That we were pure.

It was all a lie.

We were just like all the others they defiled, abused, neglected.

We formed a brotherhood and vowed to have our revenge. Now no one stands in our way.

No one, except one girl.

Trinity Malone doesn’t know about our past.

She doesn’t have a say in our future.

At least, so we thought.

Until we realized Trinity’s exactly who we were looking for.

She’s our secret weapon.

Soon, she’ll be seeking revenge…

Just like us.

My thoughts 💭

I thought the storyline was interesting but not much happened. Trinity got picked on and the guys scared her…. it didn’t really pick up until you got towards the end. I’m unsure if I’ll read the next one.

Review: Sunshine And The Bullets by CoraLee June

Length: 618 pages

Published: December 13, 2019

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

Sunshine.

It’s a nickname I haven’t heard since I lived on Woodbury Lane, where the houses were pretty but the secrets? Deadly. It was a pet name known only to the Bullets. Rough, violent, and ruthless, they laid claim to the town — and my heart.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for a boy from the wrong side of the tracks—especially not four of them. But they were the only ones who understood that sometimes hell hides in plain sight.

I was the girl with all the conveniences a privileged upbringing could provide. The world only saw two loving parents and a pristine home life, but I knew the truth. And it was going to get me killed. So, I disappeared, from everyone and everything I’d ever known. I changed my name and my appearance, but the scars I carry, they’re still the same.

The Bullets are all grown up now, too — a crime boss, a pro fighter, a bounty hunter, and a federal agent. Life took them in different directions, but they once shared the bonds of a brotherhood forged under the harshest conditions. Together they were fearless. Brutal. Unstoppable.

I’m praying they can find that unity again. If I’m going to survive this, it’ll take everything they have. Because that’s the thing about running from the past.

Eventually, it catches up to you.

This box set contains the complete Bullets Trilogy.

My thoughts 💭

I enjoyed this book! It was entertaining. Sunshine and the Bullets will do anything for each other and Sunshine definitely proves that theory after disappearing and leave the guys scrambling to find her. She runs away for them and they drag her back to them and demand answers. They go on a journey of near death experiences, acknowledging feelings, bringing down those who want them dead and living happily ever after. Their story had me hooked from beginning to end! I’m definitely interested in finding out what happened to Nix!

Review: Finding Fae by M. Sinclair

Length: 139 pages

Synopsis

My name is Maize.

Poisonous to the touch.

The bastard child of one very dead Dark Fae King.

A refugee of a war that freed me from my three-year imprisonment.

Loyal to a kingdom that absolutely despises who I am.

I was free. As free as someone like me could be, at least. At 22, I could go anywhere. Travel any realm. Yet, I chose to stay in the kingdom that saved me. I was loyal to a fault and now after a full year spent living within the castle walls, I was being transferred to the Red Masques academy. Not as a student. Not as a teacher either. I honestly wasn’t positive why I was going… a change of pace? Or maybe they had grown tired of me in the castle. Either way, I would be staying with the team of commanders that are in charge of the institution. It couldn’t be that bad right?

Well, that was what I assumed before I met the men I would be living with. Yeah, not positive how this is going to work out… stay tuned.

Finding Fae is book 1 in the Lost In Fae series. This PNR/Fantasy RH is part of an M. Sinclair universe but can be read as a standalone series (feel free to check out the others as well for a more encompassing universe understanding and camos). Prepare yourself for a strong but haunted MFC that meets men that may be the best or worst thing for her. Undetermined.

Book will contain swearing. As well, please be advised that the book contains darker themes including assault, PTSD, and violence. Additionally, sexual themes are suitable for mature audiences +18. Burn level – slow/medium.

My thoughts 💭

This was an interesting read. Maize has been through a lot but she is strong! I did cry a little for Maize but I loved it! I liked how unique her relationships with her mates were. I can’t wait to read what’s next for this group.

Review: Reaper’s Pack by Rhea Watson

Length: 432 pages

Published: March 21, 2020

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

One grim reaper. Three hellhounds who refuse to bow down to her. A monster hunting them in the shadows…

Ten years ago, I was judged worthy of life after death and returned to the mortal realm as a grim reaper. Scythe in hand, I guide souls to deliverance—and it’s time for a promotion.

My new territory is triple the size of any I’ve worked before. High death rates mean one busy reaper, and the only way to keep up is with a pack of hellhounds. Faithful. Strong. Merciless. Hellhound shifters are a reaper’s right hand in the field, shepherding and guarding souls until they can be reaped.

We get our pick of the litter from the best breeders in Hell, but for some reason, I’m drawn to the pack no one wants.

An alpha who refuses to yield.

A beta who doesn’t take me seriously.

A runt who flinches at every command.

I want them—even if they don’t want me.

Because the hunger in their eyes tells a different story. But the fact that they can’t decide whether to love me or hate me, fight me or screw me, is making our situation way too complicated.

Still, I refuse to give up. If this infuriatingly handsome trio can’t be trained, if we don’t pass the trials, they go back to a cage and a cruel demon master.

Yeah. Not happening.

Reapers and hellhounds are natural allies, and the sooner we secure our bond, the better, because as it turns out…

All our lives depend on it.

Reaper’s Pack is a standalone why-choose paranormal romance and is part of the ALL THE QUEEN’S MEN series. Each book in the series is a full-length standalone featuring layered heroes and a headstrong heroine who never has to settle for just one happily-ever-after. The books can be read in any order and are part of the same supernatural universe.

My thoughts 💭

This was an enjoyable read. Hazel has been promoted and she gets to pick her pack to help her reap. She connects with one of the “worse” packs that’s being offered. Knox, Gunnar and Declan have plans to escape service. But one by one they fall for the sweet reaper. Declan knows of Hazel’s importance to the pack almost immediately and it takes the other 2 a bit to catch up. There’s danger lurking, stubborn fated mates and a happy ending. I definitely recommend!

Review: Darkmore Penitentiary by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Length: 562 pages

Published: March 30, 2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

“We’re going to own you.”

“We’re going to break you.”

“When we’re through with you, you won’t remember life before you were ours.”

That’s what they whisper as I pass their cells.

Ha. Guess what bastardos? I’m Rosalie Oscura, champion underground cage-fighter and freaking Alpha Werewolf from the infamous Oscura Clan. My family wrote the book on criminal organisations and I’ll be ruling this place by the time the next moon rises.

Papà always said my hot head would land me in here one day. The supernatural prison they call Darkmore Penitentiary. Where they send the cruellest, most dangerous Fae in Solaria. Like me apparently.

I’ve always had a thing for Alpha males, but the ones in here don’t have a thing for me. Especially after what I did to them…

I accidentally insulted a ruthless Lion Shifter and riled up his army of cutthroat followers.

I may have enraged the sinful Incubus who’s been condemned to isolation for committing an unspeakable crime.

Despite my better judgement, I taunted the sinister Vampire guard who has a dark vendetta against me.

And I kinda deceived the black-hearted Werewolf who rules over my sworn enemies. Though I blame fate for that one – bitch never was on my side.

I don’t know why I’m surprised, I always did have a knack for getting into trouble.

Just look at my criminal record:

Driving Under the Influence of the Moon (I’m a Werewolf, I’m always under the influence of the moon, duh)

One count of MIPS – Minor in Possession of Stardust (I’m just glad they never figured out why I was using it)

Bedazzlement (I can’t help it if I dazzle people into giving me their money)

Alpha Wolf Status Abuse (It’s calling being a leader, idiotas)

Hijacking a Pegasus and riding him through a rainbow on private property (Totally his idea)

Coercing two members of law enforcement to dance naked on the top of their vehicle for seven hours (What’s not hilarious about that?)

Bank Robbery (All that gold was getting lonely stuck in that vault)

Murdering a security guard (Alright I regret that one, but it was a total accident)

So maybe I deserve to be in prison, but do you want to know a secret?

I planned to get sent to Darkmore Penitentiary.

I’ve come to break out the most notorious criminal in Solaria.

The trouble is, I need the help of the four Alpha males to get out of here. And they happen to hate each other almost as much as they hate me.

But I always did love a challenge.

How hard could it be to make them accept me as their leader?

This is an RH set in the world of Solaria after the events of Zodiac Academy and Dark Fae and contains some character crossover but can be read as a standalone series without having read the other books.

My thoughts 💭

I felt like all the characters were crazy but I enjoyed reading! Someone needs to grovel or get his butt kicked in the next book! I can’t wait to read what’s next for these crazies!

Synopsis

I lived my life as a prisoner.

I’ve always been told stories about the real world, but I haven’t seen it for myself. All I have ever known is pain.

And darkness.

They tell me I have been blind since birth.

When I make my escape, I think freedom is finally within my grasp…

Until I’m captured by the paranormal police for a murder I didn’t commit. Apparently, I have powers—powers I have always suspected myself of having.

Normal people can’t see through other people’s eyes, right?

Thrust into Nightmare Penitentiary, I meet a group of hard, alpha, psychotic inmates who believe I’m the answer to all their prayers. Me? I’m just trying to survive and figure out what it means to live. My new home isn’t just a prison, but a labyrinth with horrors around every corner.

But what if the cost of my life is my freedom? Am I willing to trade one cage for another?

Welcome to Nightmare Penitentiary where you come in handcuffs and leave in a body bag.

This is NOT a bully romance. These men are all hardened criminals and extreme alphas, but they adore their female. Be prepared to enjoy a painfully naïve female main character who slowly grows as the book progresses and a group of psychotic, murderous males. This book contains strong language, sexual situations, and a reverse harem romance.

My thoughts 💭

I am loving these Paranormal Prison books! Nina goes from being held captive to thrown in jail for a crime she didn’t commit. She meets her absolutely hunky and adorable mates. A group of crazy and damaged men fall for the sweet Nina. I loved the banter between the characters. Abel and Rion were absolutely hilarious! Damien was my favorite! Kai and Bronson were sweet-ish. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Review: Academy Of Sorcery: Term 2: Fallen Master by Alexa B. James

Synopsis

I’ve been marked. My time is limited. Soon, the dark woman who attacked me will return for me. To prepare, I’ll have to work harder than ever. Having four powerful, sexy sorcerers watching my every move should make things easier, but somehow, it can be a bit of a distraction. Especially when my magic is urging me toward them all. Could it really hurt my chances? After all, a girl’s gotta practice.

My thoughts 💭

This was an okay read for me. I was confused a bit because I thought they had Jade’s dad protected so I wasn’t sure how he was able to get into so much trouble. Jade is still wayyy too forgiving. Rocco, Ryker and Thorn are so hot and cold with Jade I wasn’t sure how to feel about them. Darius is my favorite.

Synopsis

No one believes I was at the wrong place at the wrong time…

Grant it, I kind of get it. I have been found around an abnormally large amount of dead people lately. The thing is, I’m not the dangerous murderer they think I am. If I could tell the truth about my not-so-human father, they’d understand.

But I can’t.

Because his kind shouldn’t be able to breed with humans, and because, well, it’d be an instant death sentence if they found out. So while the prison leaders know I’m not entirely human, they haven’t figured what I am… yet.

Now, I just need to clear my name before someone discovers my secret. If only the four sexy inmates who’ve taken an interest in me understood that I’m not “playing hard to get.”

I’m trying to save my life.

WRAITH CAPTIVE is a prison paranormal reverse harem romance. It’s steamy, humorous, and with just the right amount of an edge. So come join an amazing group of authors in Nightmare Penitentiary, a place you’ll never want to escape from.

My thoughts 💭

Escaping prison is never easy but being shared by a few men is. I enjoyed this book. Elizabeth, Gabriel, Ax and Blade have plans to not be in prison long but forces are trying to keep them right where they are and discover all their secrets. I can’t wait to read what’s next for this group.

Review: Academy Of Sorcery: Year 1: Unleashing Trails by Alexa B. James& Athena Phoenix

Length: 298 pages

Published: October 10, 2019

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

Magic is dangerous.

I should know. It got me a thirty-year sentence scrubbing toilets for a scumbag wizard.

My only hope is the Unleashing, a ceremony that unlocks the dormant powers of magical descendants when we turn eighteen. Since my mom was a lowly psychic, I don’t expect to be blessed with much more than the ability to forecast the weather.

But when the sorcerers unlock my magic, all hell breaks loose. Turns out, I’m not a wizard, witch, or even a sorcerer. I’m…something else.

Because of my unique abilities, I’m required to attend the Academy of Sorcery until I learn to harness and control my magic. Not only that, but the three sexiest and most powerful sorcerers on campus are assigned to guard me night and day. Jackpot, right?

Not quite.

Turns out these guys aren’t too happy with the arrangement, and they show it by making my life hell. That’s just the beginning of my troubles. The mean-girl squad declares open season on me, a mysterious woman attacks me every time I step off campus, and my professor is too hot for his own good. And when it’s time to find a weapon to help me master my abilities, my magic chooses… a spork.

It’s going to be a long year.

Good thing I have what it takes to survive it.

My thoughts 💭

I liked this book. I liked the storyline. I didn’t like three “powerful” men being easily manipulated. With a newbie I’d expect it but not with them. Jade should have them grovel she’s kind of too forgiving lol. I liked the tension between her and Darius…forbidden teacher/student!! Yesss! Even with the slight disappointment of the 3 guys I’m still interested in reading how the next book goes.
