Synopsis

Dr. Amani Giles is content with her quiet but hectic life even after she calls off her engagement with her college sweetheart. Helping others consumes her days, but she spends lonely nights in her condo nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Canton, GA. Raised by a single mom and her grandmother, everyone knows the Giles family, but Amani knows nothing of her family history. However, when she meets one of her charity’s biggest donors at her gala, the supernatural world collides with her otherwise routine life.

Aleksandr Morozov is the CEO of the Kamenev Corporation, the owner of Tantric, a renowned BDSM club, and the country’s most eligible bachelor. Aleksandr also has a secret—while he is a successful businessman to most, he is also the Vampire King . . . although he stops following the traditions of his kind after his mother’s unsolved murder. He no longer believes in the lore surrounding the Prophecy of Old, but all that changes when he sees Amani and discovers the stories about True Mates are real.

A BWWM Paranormal Romance. For mature audiences.

My thoughts 💭

This was an interesting read. I can’t wait to read what’s next. Ella is finally growing a spine and Axel isn’t sure how to handle it. Bishop isn’t really the sweetheart I thought he was and Sterling is just yummy and a voice of reason. Their chemistry is hot. The guys have to put away their possessiveness and jealousies to satisfy Ella and I loved it. The cliffhanger comes before you know it.

Bernadette By TK Cherry
Genre: Romantic Suspense

I will not budge.
I will not buckle.
I will not surrender.
Bernadette recited that mantra to herself over and over again since the night she was abducted. She woke bound and gagged, staring into the face of a man whose past was linked with hers. A man… with a vendetta.
That was seven days ago.
Alone with him in a secluded cabin in the middle of nowhere, Bernadette notices with each passing day he softens to her a little more. That small change turns the game in her favor, and she’s ready to play.
As the power shifts, will her captor sense her plans and tighten his hold? Or will Bernadette be the one to make him budge… buckle… and surrender?

Review: When The Saint Falls by A.D. McCammon

Length: 298 pages

Synopsis

Thatcher Michaelson is a bully.

Arrogant. Cruel. Ruthless.

And the most attractive guy I’ve ever laid eyes on.

He’s the rebel of Westbrook high, and I’m merely the annoying goody two-shoes he dubbed the saint.

There must be something wrong with me. After nearly two years of dirty looks and constant humiliation, I’m still crushing on the guy who hated me on sight.

Then he kissed me and instead of the ice-cold gaze I was accustomed to, I saw passion burning behind his dark molten eyes.

Violet St. James doesn’t belong in my world.

Good. Kind. Pure.

She’s everything I’m not.

She doesn’t just look like an angel, she is one. And I’ve fought every impulse to make her mine.

But all my efforts went up in flames the second I tasted her sweet lips. My inability to stay away has changed everything.

She’s determined to break down all my walls, but my little saint doesn’t understand the consequences of her actions.

She tells me she’s not afraid of the fall.

But she should be.

My thoughts 💭

This was a pretty good read. Thatcher is a bit of a jerk towards Violet but it’s not really a secret they want each other. Both characters kind of annoyed me at times with Violet being kind of whiny and Thatcher being hot and cold towards Violet. They are in high school so it made sense. I was glad when they finally got their issues sorted. They were good for each other. Overall it was an enjoyable read.

Let’s play a game…

Words can be powerful things, and those four just granted me a golden ticket straight to hell.

Two beautifully deranged boys have decided I’m their next acquisition.

To make things fair they give me a chance to save myself.

All I have to do is beat them at a few games of their choice.

Truth or dare.

Hide and seek.

Simon says.

Seems simple until you account for the bloodied twist they each have.

They say in all chaos there’s calculation.

For my sake I hope that’s true because if we’re going to play, I’m playing to win.

Malady is a complete novel. There’s no cliffhanger, but it must be read after Crucible.

My thoughts 💭

This was an enjoyable but twisted read. Kaiden and Jace are absolutely crazy. Rae had no chance to win the game. I’m interested in what sort of training they had for Rae or if she’ll ever get a chance to run or revenge. The ending made me feel like something was missing. I feel like she deserves to make them sweat for a bit with how they did her and all.

Synopsis

Leaving Fletch: A Novella was written by USA Today Bestselling & Multi-Award Winning Author Xyla Turner

Cheyenne:

My husband did it again. Cheated twice, and he was sloppy with his escapades, which left me and my acting career vulnerable. I just wanted to escape. Go to a small town and hide.

I found a tribe of older ladies, who were way too nosy and nastier than expected. Then I found a man who was way too sexy and gruff for his own good.

It didn’t matter, though. We were from two different worlds.

Fletch:

The woman floated into town, then inside my bar, asking for high-end drinks. I gave her a beer. A regular ole beer. That’s what we drink. Who did she think she was?

A Princess.

Come to find out, she was. My princess.

I couldn’t keep her, though. She was destined for far greater than my small town. The very same one, I vowed never to leave.

This is a quick, IR, BWWM and HEA novella. #standalone

My thoughts 💭

This was an interesting read. Shy and Fletch have both had their share of heartbreak. They find themselves in bed together then on the fast track to love. I enjoyed this steamy story!

Two blue lines. That means not pregnant, right? Right?
Oh, sh*t.

Five years ago, Colm
Frost asked me to marry him and I ran. I ran from my painful past too raw and
fresh to escape. He was the only one who looked at me like I wasn’t broken and
made me believe it. He made me feel it.

Now, he’s the hot,
angry, hockey player on the mend.

I’m the
physiotherapist who’s supposed to get him back on his feet.

I don’t think our
night together was what his doctor prescribed, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t
dreamt of him every time I close my eyes. I woke up beside him with my body
still singing from the way he fanned the flames of my desire, but I couldn’t
stay.

His lips on my neck. His hands wrapped around my waist. His impressive…ahem,
touch leaving me breathless.

One moment of wild
inhibition and it’s come back to bite me in the butt. Kind of like he did that
night.

But a baby? Our
night was supposed to be a one time thing, closing a door on the future I
couldn’t handle.

Will this new bump
in the road be everything we needed to find our forever?

Excerpt
The question had been running through my head all night: how
could I get her to leave? But I didn’t want her to go. And now the maple syrup
and cinnamon taste of her sent me hurtling close to the edge of my control.
Those reserves were running on fumes.

Everyone else had been run off by my anger or blinded by my
money, but not her. If anything, she battled me, pushing me like she knew I
needed it. She wouldn’t let me hide the splintered and cracked pieces of myself
that I was barely holding together.

She didn’t push me to talk, just slid in past my defenses
and got me to say more than I should.

“Do you want me to stop?” I ran my fingers through her hair,
tugging on the roots.

Her lips parted in a gasp and I deepened the kiss, needing
to taste even more of her. She’d teased me, eating that French toast that
smelled like a vanilla and cinnamon factory had exploded when it arrived at our
table.

She stared into my eyes, heavy breaths shuddering past her
lips. “Hell no.”

Review: The Cruelest Stranger by Winter Renshaw

Synopsis

The first time I saw him was at a bar called Ophelia’s on a misty Thursday night. I was there to drown my sorrows after a trying day, he was there to escape the storm. After a brief yet incredibly cruel exchange, the handsome stranger bolted before I had a chance to tell him off. Incensed and two cocktails deep, I followed him out the door, determined to give the audacious Adonis a piece of my mind.

Tearing after him in heels and barely able to keep up in the freezing rain, I ended my chase when I realized where he was going.

They say never to judge someone unless you know their story.

I never could have anticipated his…

And I never could have anticipated the way our paths would cross again—or that I would one day find myself falling for a man with a hollow cavity where his heart should be, a man as callous as he was beautiful, as complicated as he was mesmeric.

They say never to judge someone unless you know their story.

This one’s ours.

My thoughts 💭

This was a sweet romance. I thought it had a good pace. Astaire and Bennett start off on the wrong foot and after a some mishaps they come to a truce and start to fall for each other. Bennett is a jerk and Astaire is a ray of sunshine. I enjoyed this book.
