Review: Hungry For Her Wolves by Tara West

Length: 266 pages

Published: July 30, 2018

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Synopsis

She’s desperate to sate her hunger. They’re determined to possess her. Is she willing to give up her freedom for a taste of passion?

Amara was content to live as a lone wolf, the only one of her kind—or so she’d thought. Her world was flipped on its head when a strange man with a familiar scent showed up at her work, demanding a private meeting.

Desperate to find the mate Luc had scented from four hundred miles away, he was shocked to find her living as a lone wolf. Amaroki women were to be cherished and protected. What had happened to her family? More importantly, how was he going to convince her to return to the reservation with him? And how would his possessive brothers react when they found him with Amara?

Amara couldn’t deny her attraction to the wolf-shifter named Luc, but she wasn’t about to give up her career to mate with him and his three brothers, no matter how hot and bothered he made her. When his brothers arrived—tall, tanned, and virile—she could no longer deny her savage hunger for these shifters.

But how could she satisfy her desire and still maintain her independence with four overbearing wolves around? And how would she bond and adapt to their lifestyle when she couldn’t shake her dark memories? More importantly, how would her mates react when they learned of her past? Would they reject her, or would they risk their lives to seek vengeance on those who’ve dishonored her?

My thoughts 💭

This was an interesting book. Amara is a wolf living like a human. When one of her mates catch her scent they’re determined to bring her into the fold. Amara wasn’t raised as a wolf so some of their customs didn’t sit well with her. She didn’t want to be just a baby maker and she wasn’t used to how intense the second alphas are. Amara, Hakon, Drasko, Luc and Rone find themselves in a fight to be mated and even though they win there’s still the threat of Luc’s job that may seperate them for a time. Even though Amara’s crying got annoying a little bit I still enjoyed the book. I’m definitely going to read the next one.

Synopsis

He says I’m his fated mate.

I say I’m his fated enemy.

I was stripped of my royal title because of him. I was banished to a deserted island and left to die because of him.

Only when I’m his last option does he remember I exist at all. Now this cruel king is taking me captive to be his bride, join his people, and save his kingdom from a spreading plague.

The witch claims this is our destiny written in the magic of the flames and the waves of the sea. I choose my own destiny though. And I’ll drown in those cold waters than ever be bound to him.

Because he doesn’t need a fated fae mate. He needs a savior.

And I’d rather die than be either of those things for the Cruel King.

NOTE: The Cruel Fae King is a fiery, panty melting enemies to lovers tale intended for readers 18 and over. Fans of Holly Black, Sarah J Maas, and all things sexy fae will fall in lusty hate with the Cursed Kingdoms Series.

My thoughts 💭

Syren is ready to get revenge for her king and I am soooo here for it. Syren and Bear fight like crazy but they want each other. Their chemistry is sooo hot! Bear will do anything to save his kingdom but you know there’s evil doings going on trying to stop him. I can’t wait to read what’s next for them!!

Synopsis

Craig

I met my little pixie in a coffee house and we hit it off right away. That is, until she saw me shoot someone. But in my defense, they were coming to rob the coffee shop. Who does that? Now, I’ll do anything to get her back and make her realize that she’s mine. Kidnapping? I’m not too good for that. Getting shot? Play up the sympathy card. Marry her? You’re damn straight I will. Lay down my life for her? In a heartbeat. I would do anything for this woman and I will make her mine.

Reese

It was one non date. We had coffee together. After we bumped into each other. It was more of a meet-cute than anything. It was fun until I realized how very naive I was. I mean, the man said that he had a gun on him and I laughed it off like an idiot. Who actually carries around a gun with them. Apparently, everyone from Reed Security. But I didn’t see that, and now I have a stalker. Not just any stalker though. This man takes everything to the extreme. But I can survive him. I will survive him. And when all is said and done, I’ll go back to my life and the boring men I date. Right?

My thoughts 💭

I enjoyed the book but I didn’t like Reese. She was right to be mad at Craig but she really wanted him so I didn’t get her being mean to him until the end. Craig saw a woman he liked and gave chase since he knew she wanted him too. Their story did make me laugh! I like the Reed security family!

Review: Broken Magic (Academy Of The Elites #2) by Alexis Calder

Length: 205 pages

Published: November 19,2019

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

What’s worse than having untamed magic? Not having any magic. My magic is broken after being attacked by the magic thief. And I need it back fast, before she tries again.

I’ll do anything to get it back – including private tutoring with a crazy professor and private time with the sexy billionaire twins – and their mother. FML.

Oh yeah, and according to my parole officer, if I ever do get my magic back and alter time, I’m done for. No pressure.

And I have to do it all without getting distracted by the sexy wolf shifter during a full Yule moon and a hot as hell incubus determined to get out of my dreams and into my pants.

Who knew magic school would be so complicated?

My thoughts 💭

I liked the book but it was like nothing really started happening until the end. Raven was mostly practicing to gain her magic back but it took bonding to one of her mates for it to come back. I was just hoping for more Raven getting to know her mates.

Synopsis

Rebel or die. My choices are simple. I’ve been sent to Bloodwing Academy because I’m one of the magically repressed. I should have magical powers, but I don’t. Not yet. One day I’ll wake up and my powers will be out of my control. I’ll be a threat to everyone around me, but that doesn’t mean they should lock me up.

Especially with someone like Striker Draven. As heir to the Draven fortune, he thinks he can have whatever he wants. He wants to pull me apart, rip out my power, and take my heart with it.

That’s if I don’t rip his out first.

My name is Peyton Price. My freedom is going to come at a cost. Body and mind, I have to decide if I’m willing to pay it.

This is a full length, 100,000 word dark academy romance, the first in the Assassin’s Academy series. An enemies to lovers romance for fans of action and intrigue. Set in the Assassin’s Magic world.

**Recommended reading age is 17+ due to language and heat level.

My thoughts 💭

That ending definitely left me wanting more!! Peyton is fierce and I absolutely loved her! The magically repressed are treated horribly at the academy to try to force their magic out of them and then force them to become part of an army. Some students were able to help each other hide to keep each other safe. Then they all were able to rebel with Peyton and Draven leading the way! I wasn’t sure what to expect next and I can’t wait to read the next book!

Review: Ensnared by Sofia Daniel

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

“I have two weeks to protect myself from three horny, blackmailing vampires and their fangs.”

If I don’t obey them, the Stryx brothers will unleash my terrible secret.

A secret that will get me executed. Or worse.

Nero, Dante, and Raphael have trapped me right where they want:

Kneeling at their gorgeous feet, their unwilling slave.

They have my body, my obedience, and now they want my blood.

How long before I stop resisting their seductive games?

I must awaken my magic and fend them off before their kisses turn deadly.

Ensnared is book two of a reverse harem PNR academy bully romance series. It contains cursing, dark themes, and sexual situations.

My thoughts 💭

The Stryx brothers are still jerks for most of the book but they eventually get better. I actually started to like them. Alicia is strong and I adore her but she makes poor choices when feeling sympathy for people who didn’t care about her feelings at all! Helping Zariah out always comes back to bite Alicia on the a-&! I can’t wait to read the next book.

Review: Prowling Their Mate by Tasmin Baker

Synopsis

Laura thinks soulmates are for suckers…

Can two gorgeous brothers prove to the cynic, that she’s their fated mate?

People say I’m too much—too big, too smart, too loud.

Well too damn bad! I’m finally content with my plus-size body and quiet life.

Sure, I haven’t dated in forever, but I have a thriving veterinary practice and a kid sister to worry about. Besides, experience tells me animals are much more deserving of my attention than any man.

Until two gorgeous brothers knock me off my feet. The unsettling animal-attraction is instant.

I can’t fight it. I don’t want to.

Finding Mr Right is not on my to-do-list, but I’m up for a little fun with Mr Right Now—times two.

Somehow these polar-opposite twins—Tyler with his gentle intelligence, and Brandon with his strength and protective streak—form a perfect pair.

And as they worship every inch of my curvy body, they thaw my frozen heart.

If falling in love isn’t scary enough to send me running, discovering these men are actually mountain lion shifters should do the trick.

But they claim I’m their fated mate.

And I know it’s true because loving them is easier than breathing… but will the ghosts of their past tear us apart?

*** Steamy MFM shifter romance.

Author note: This is a re-release or ‘Prowling the Vet’ – the story has been thoroughly edited and I hope you enjoy it!

My thoughts 💭

This was a sweet read. Tyler and Brandon meet their mate in one awkward situation but they still pursue her. Laura is kind of skeptical about how much the guys want to date her but decides to do what makes her happy. There’s a little ex drama but not too bad. I liked the book and will be reading the next one!

Review: Amber by Mia Harlan

Synopsis

It’s hard enough being a chameleon shifter with wonky powers… but opening Jewels Cafe in a supernatural town like Silver Springs? Maybe not the best idea.

I thought I could work side by side with my best guy friend… but now I have to juggle hiding my crush for him and putting our cafe on the map. Because if no one in Silver Springs realizes that we’ve got this hidden gem soon, we might go out of business!

So what do we do? Create a signature drink with hints of pumpkin spice just in time for fall.

Surprise, surprise. I take one sip and I”m thrown for another loop. The sweetest bear shifter is drawn to me like honey. A sexy bunny shifter offers me his carrot. They don’t even seem to mind that I accidentally shift into everyone I meet.

But can my chameleon powers save Jewels Cafe? Can I juggle these two hot shifters and my childhood crush? And what happens when a spell threatens to tear us apart?

My thoughts 💭

This was a sweet and funny romance with some misunderstandings. Amber and Julian are best friends and are in love with each other but won’t tell each other. Julian gets tired of waiting for her to notice him as more than a friend and accidentally casts a mate spell on Amber which attracts Wes and Chase. I thought it was a cute story and I enjoyed reading.

Review: Havoc At Prescott High by C.M. Stunich

Length: 482 pages

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

There’s one word you don’t utter at Prescott High, not unless you want them to own you.

H.A.V.O.C.

Hael, Aaron, Victor, Oscar, and Callum.

The Havoc Boys rule the hellhole we call Prescott High.

Once upon a time, they ruled me. For an entire year, I endured their shit.

But senior year is going to be different.

This year, I own them.

I’ve made a pact with the Havoc Boys to get the vengeance I deserve.

Their price? Me. At their beck and call, in their beds, a part of their gang.

Their girl.

A Havoc Girl.

Those dirty, rotten boys are going to get revenge against everyone that’s wronged me—everyone but themselves.

HAVOC AT PRESCOTT HIGH is a 105,000 word mature high school/new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. It has brief flashbacks of past bullying incidents as well as foul language and sexual scenes; any sex featured is consensual. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book one of three in the series.

My thoughts 💭

I can’t wait to read the next book! Bernadette is out for revenge so she calls upon the Havoc boys to help her even though they tormented her for a while. They accept and the price is she’s now theirs but Vic is possessive! This book is crazy and filled with drama. I definitely recommend!
