Synopsis

Kirian and I were just twelve years old when I pulled him from the icy waters of the creek behind my house. As he looked in my direction with unseeing lavender eyes, I quickly realized our age was just about the only thing we had in common. He spoke with an accent, he had pointy ears, and he was so beautiful it made my heart ache. Oh, and he claimed to be a fae prince cursed by witches who stole his sight.

I thought he was crazy from hypothermia. Turns out, he wasn’t, and for some reason he keeps coming back. But a day in my world is a year in his. Every time I see him, he’s older. Wiser. Hotter.

Over the past six years, I’ve tried not to fall in love with him because the terms of the curse are clear: If he doesn’t wait for his fated mate in all ways, including an innocent (or not-so-innocent) kiss, he’ll be blind forever.

So when Kirian kisses me and pulls me through the portal to his realm, I make it my mission to do some damage control. It’d be a whole lot easier if he wasn’t determined to marry me… And if someone wasn’t trying to murder me every step of the way.

My thoughts 💭

I enjoyed this book! Kirian and Quinn were adorable. They’ve had feelings for each other since they were 12 and when the thought of not seeing each other anymore comes up they both get a little crazy. I loved how they loved each other! This was an interesting read with the love, betrayal, new friends and happy ever after. I can’t wait to read the next book!

She thinks she can hump and dump me. No damn way.

Griffin Phillips

I spent eighteen years in the Army, and nothing hit me as hard as this woman. The first time I saw her picture, I wanted to drop to my knees and worship at her feet. Fiona Cooper is thick and curvy the way I like my women. I don’t care that we’ve only talked online. She wants to be friends with benefits, but she’s already mine.

Fiona Cooper

After the year I’ve had, I’m ready for some fun. My friend is getting married in the same city where my online boy toy lives. Griffin Phillips is big all over and cut to perfection. I have plans to satisfy my craving for him, but this attraction between us will forever be strictly physical.

THICK CUT is an interracial erotic romance (BWWM) with a HEA. It is a part of the Lunchtime Chronicles series which can be read as standalone novels.

WARNING: This book is different from ALL previous Siera London books. THICK CUT contains explicit sex and graphic language.

My thoughts 💭

This was an enjoyable quick read. Fiona is in denial about what’s between her and Griffin. Griffin is sure he’s not letting his woman get away from him.

Koji and Trista were cute! Koji thought he was going to wine and dine his way into getting what he wanted. Trista knew what was going on and shocked him by suggesting they just enjoy each other and proceeded to rock his world. This was an end quick read.

Synopsis

Trigger

You can run, but you can’t hide from me, mama. The cat and mouse game is what I do for a living: I chase criminals and apprehend them. But you ain’t no criminal, Candy. The only thing you’re guilty of is giving me a taste and expecting it to be enough. I can help you, if you’ll let me. I can clear this mess up – but for the love of God, don’t try and run from me, because one dip in your sensual pool just ain’t enough for this cowboy. I need more. I need it all.

Candy

You say you came to meet up with me and then you reveal the truth: that you’re a bounty hunter and you know my darkest secret. Of course, I’m going to bolt. It doesn’t matter that your rugged cowboy looks and firm hand completely undo me. Thanks to my traumatic past, I can’t trust you! Don’t look for me, Trigger, and definitely don’t come to back to Atlanta for me. You took one dip and I survived; but if you double dip, there’s no way I’ll be able to resist you.

My thoughts 💭

I liked this book! Trigger knew he wanted Candy and didn’t let her go. One taste wasn’t enough for the cowboy! This was a steamy and sweet read.

Review: Reaper’s Pack by Rhea Watson

Length: 432 pages

Published: March 21, 2020

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

One grim reaper. Three hellhounds who refuse to bow down to her. A monster hunting them in the shadows…

Ten years ago, I was judged worthy of life after death and returned to the mortal realm as a grim reaper. Scythe in hand, I guide souls to deliverance—and it’s time for a promotion.

My new territory is triple the size of any I’ve worked before. High death rates mean one busy reaper, and the only way to keep up is with a pack of hellhounds. Faithful. Strong. Merciless. Hellhound shifters are a reaper’s right hand in the field, shepherding and guarding souls until they can be reaped.

We get our pick of the litter from the best breeders in Hell, but for some reason, I’m drawn to the pack no one wants.

An alpha who refuses to yield.

A beta who doesn’t take me seriously.

A runt who flinches at every command.

I want them—even if they don’t want me.

Because the hunger in their eyes tells a different story. But the fact that they can’t decide whether to love me or hate me, fight me or screw me, is making our situation way too complicated.

Still, I refuse to give up. If this infuriatingly handsome trio can’t be trained, if we don’t pass the trials, they go back to a cage and a cruel demon master.

Yeah. Not happening.

Reapers and hellhounds are natural allies, and the sooner we secure our bond, the better, because as it turns out…

All our lives depend on it.

Reaper’s Pack is a standalone why-choose paranormal romance and is part of the ALL THE QUEEN’S MEN series. Each book in the series is a full-length standalone featuring layered heroes and a headstrong heroine who never has to settle for just one happily-ever-after. The books can be read in any order and are part of the same supernatural universe.

My thoughts 💭

This was an enjoyable read. Hazel has been promoted and she gets to pick her pack to help her reap. She connects with one of the “worse” packs that’s being offered. Knox, Gunnar and Declan have plans to escape service. But one by one they fall for the sweet reaper. Declan knows of Hazel’s importance to the pack almost immediately and it takes the other 2 a bit to catch up. There’s danger lurking, stubborn fated mates and a happy ending. I definitely recommend!

Review: Southern Storms by Brittainy Cherry

Synopsis

All I wanted to do was run away, I never expected to crash into his arms…

After leaving the city life behind to escape my loveless marriage, I moved to small town Havenbarrow for a fresh start.

What I didn’t expect was to find myself drawn to the town’s black sheep.

They called him troubled. Cold. A man with a dark past.

What everyone seemed to miss about Jax was the splashes of light in his eyes. The random acts of kindness he performed when no one was watching. The way he made me smile and laugh.

Jax helped unpack the baggage I’d been carrying around with me. He was patient with my pain and gentle with my scars. He was the stillness during my hurricane.

Yet when both of our pasts came back to haunt our present days, we realized quickly that sometimes love stories didn’t end the way we’d hoped.

Sometimes you were left with only the damage from the storm.

My thoughts 💭

This was a sweet read. Jax and Kennedy have had tragic events happen that have them struggling. Jax comes off as a jerk and Kennedy has anxiety. They find themselves connecting and it makes their lives better. They finally get the love that they deserve just for being themselves and not what or who other people want them to be. I enjoyed reading their story.

On her way home, she makes one last stop to see her best friend and by fate or chance or by simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time, she finds herself quarantined inside by a sudden military presence.

She doesn’t carry the virus, and as far as she knows, neither does anyone else in the facility but the men guarding the store doesn’t seem to care and she knows they’re not letting her go anywhere anytime soon.

They connect instantly over their similar surnames and the comfortability while getting to know one another.
Instant attraction sparks and their forced confinement gives them the chance to become more than strangers, even more than friends.

Will they be separated and lose one another forever, or can they overcome the virus and live to fight another day?

About Tarrah Anders

I am a contemporary romance author who is all about the feels, with the twists of sexy mixed in between. I have been writing since before I can remember.  Writing has always been a passion, that was kept it under wraps, stayed on the back-burner and never vocalized or followed through with my desire to be a writer, until I read a horrible book and thought: ‘I could do better than that!’

I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but living in beautiful San Diego with my little family while working during the day as a social worker working with the homeless.

My writing style is that I try to write realistic characters and situations. I want my books to be relatable and not to create too many eye rolls.

Thematically, the novels are friends to lovers, random hook-ups and office romances mixed with a whole lot of fun in the middle.

Review: Darkmore Penitentiary by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Length: 562 pages

Published: March 30, 2020

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Source: Kindle Unlimited

Synopsis

“We’re going to own you.”

“We’re going to break you.”

“When we’re through with you, you won’t remember life before you were ours.”

That’s what they whisper as I pass their cells.

Ha. Guess what bastardos? I’m Rosalie Oscura, champion underground cage-fighter and freaking Alpha Werewolf from the infamous Oscura Clan. My family wrote the book on criminal organisations and I’ll be ruling this place by the time the next moon rises.

Papà always said my hot head would land me in here one day. The supernatural prison they call Darkmore Penitentiary. Where they send the cruellest, most dangerous Fae in Solaria. Like me apparently.

I’ve always had a thing for Alpha males, but the ones in here don’t have a thing for me. Especially after what I did to them…

I accidentally insulted a ruthless Lion Shifter and riled up his army of cutthroat followers.

I may have enraged the sinful Incubus who’s been condemned to isolation for committing an unspeakable crime.

Despite my better judgement, I taunted the sinister Vampire guard who has a dark vendetta against me.

And I kinda deceived the black-hearted Werewolf who rules over my sworn enemies. Though I blame fate for that one – bitch never was on my side.

I don’t know why I’m surprised, I always did have a knack for getting into trouble.

Just look at my criminal record:

Driving Under the Influence of the Moon (I’m a Werewolf, I’m always under the influence of the moon, duh)

One count of MIPS – Minor in Possession of Stardust (I’m just glad they never figured out why I was using it)

Bedazzlement (I can’t help it if I dazzle people into giving me their money)

Alpha Wolf Status Abuse (It’s calling being a leader, idiotas)

Hijacking a Pegasus and riding him through a rainbow on private property (Totally his idea)

Coercing two members of law enforcement to dance naked on the top of their vehicle for seven hours (What’s not hilarious about that?)

Bank Robbery (All that gold was getting lonely stuck in that vault)

Murdering a security guard (Alright I regret that one, but it was a total accident)

So maybe I deserve to be in prison, but do you want to know a secret?

I planned to get sent to Darkmore Penitentiary.

I’ve come to break out the most notorious criminal in Solaria.

The trouble is, I need the help of the four Alpha males to get out of here. And they happen to hate each other almost as much as they hate me.

But I always did love a challenge.

How hard could it be to make them accept me as their leader?

This is an RH set in the world of Solaria after the events of Zodiac Academy and Dark Fae and contains some character crossover but can be read as a standalone series without having read the other books.

My thoughts 💭

I felt like all the characters were crazy but I enjoyed reading! Someone needs to grovel or get his butt kicked in the next book! I can’t wait to read what’s next for these crazies!
