I may have found my mom, or rather she found me, but I still have questions only she can answer. Now, getting her to cooperate has presented new challenges. She’s still ruled by fear.

Hellbent on keeping my Infinity safe, we take a few chances. Chances, that might just backfire, but there’s noway I’m letting anyone control my future any longer. Determining what Leon is truly capable of is the only way to get rid of him. Forever.

Strength isn’t an issue, the bond with my Infinity is stronger than ever.

Now it’s our turn to hunt the hunter.

Reverse Harem MMFM with adult themes

My thoughts 💭

This was a good ending to the series… for now. Lol. I enjoyed the book but I didn’t care for Laura’s mom. She always had an excuse for why she was so crappy but Ares kind of got her told which I enjoyed. I liked how close Laura and the guys got with each other. But one thing that bothered me is a vision Maggie had in one of the earlier books and nothing happened. I was waiting for Mia to start more foolishness I guess. The series was interesting and I liked it.

Blog Tour: Tall, Dark & Furious by R.L. Mathewson

Title: Tall, Dark & Furious
Author: R.L. Mathewson
Genre: Paranormal, Romance
Series: A Pyte/Sentinel Novel #6

From bestselling author R.L. Mathewson comes the sixth installment of the Pyte/Sentinel Series…
For readers who enjoy paranormal romance with a twist.
For three centuries, Trace waited for this moment, imagined all the things that he would do to the Pack that tried to kill him, and now that he was free…
All he could think about was the woman that he’d claimed as his own. She was everything that he’d always wanted and once he had his revenge, he would make her his.
Sam had resigned herself to a lot of things over the years, being the town joke, blacking out at inopportune moments, and living with a dog that hated her, but what she hadn’t planned on was suddenly finding five large men destroying her basement, looking for a tomb that she never knew existed. In one moment, her life changed forever, leaving her to wonder how she was going to make it out of this alive.

“I
really hate you,” Samantha informed the traitor that was following
her as she
 tightened
the towel around herself while she tried to ignore the splitting
headache that was starting to concern her. She quickly made her way
to her bedroom and once she was there, she slammed the door shut in
the little bastard’s face only to bite back a groan when she
realized that she wasn’t alone.

“What’s
this?” the man that had barged into the bathroom a total of fifteen
times to make sure that she was doing as she was told before stealing
her clothes, asked from where he sat on her bed, examining her old
iPod.
“It’s
an iPod,” she said, absently noting that he was now wearing a pair
of Nathan’s old jeans and had probably already searched her
brother’s bedroom.
“What
does it do?” he asked, as she walked over to her dresser, wondering
if he’d found anything that she could use to get out of this.
“It
plays music,” she said as she quickly grabbed some clothes, hoping
to get dressed before-
“And
this?” he asked, drawing her attention back to find him holding-
“Oh,
my god!” she gasped as she dropped the clothes in her arms to
rescue Bob before he realized what it was for, but something, mainly
the way that his eyes suddenly turned red and that growl that she
really shouldn’t find sexy was torn from his throat, told her that
he’d just figured it out.
With
a somewhat hysterical smile, she managed to grab Bob from him and
shove it back in the nightstand drawer with the hopes that there
wouldn’t be any follow up questions, but of course with the way
that her day was going, she really should have expected it.
“What
do you use that for, wife?” he asked, making her wince.
“It’s
umm, a sleep aide?” she said absently, wondering if he’d found-
“And
this?” he asked in that same deep sexy growl that let her know that
yes, yes, he had indeed found her pocket rocket.
The
sound of Bob Jr. turning on only confirmed it. Reminding herself that
she needed to tread lightly here, she turned around, and mumbled, “It
helps with the sleep aide,” noting the way that his red eyes
narrowed on her before she quickly turned around as she shut it off
and shoved it in the drawer with Bob. Once that was done, she turned
around and-
“What’s
a call?” he suddenly demanded as he picked up a large black duffle
bag that she hadn’t noticed before and dropped it on her bed.
“A
call?” she repeated back slowly as she did her best to keep her
gaze from wandering towards the cellphone on her nightstand.
“I
need a call,” he said firmly as those terrifying red eyes locked on
her.

Q & A
  1. What is a Pyte?
A Pyte is a true immortal. He
is the product of a vampire and a human woman. Pytes can also have
children of their own day. They’re born as weak as a human baby,
but the difference is that they need to consume blood as well food in
order to thrive. If they don’t, they’re left weaker, will grow
slower to the point that they’ll appear to be younger than they
are.
If they survive to their
sixteenth birthday, they will go into a coma where they’ll go
through their transformation, becoming everything that they were
meant to become and once they’re done, they’re immortal and
nothing will be able to kill them. They’ll appear human but have
all the strengths of a vampire with none of the weaknesses. They can
go in the sun, withstand holy relics, and have the ability to create
another Pyte.
Once they’ve created another
Pyte, they’ll be able to create a stronger breed of vampire, which
is why Masters, shifters, and Sentinels all over the world are
desperate to get their hands on them. Masters want them to create a
stronger army of vampires for them while shifters and Sentinels are
willing to do anything to stop them.
Their immortality should make
them unstoppable, but it’s their one true weakness.
  1. It’s been four years
since Fated was published, what happened?
Life.
Life happened, unfortunately.
In 2015 and 2016, we were dealing with a lot of stuff, a lot of
changes, and thankfully, we were finally able to move. It was a very
necessary move for our safety, so a lot of things were put on hold
for a while. I focused on taking care of the kids, getting them
settled, finally getting my son’s autism diagnosis, which has
actually been a big relief finally getting answers. I did my best to
keep working, I focused on contemporaries since they were the easiest
to write.
When I write paranormal
novels, I like to take my time, make sure the details are correct,
develop the characters a little more so that they are able to make
the world that I’m trying to create more believable. Basically, I
stress over every detail.
I never planned on letting
this much time go by between the books. I actually hadn’t realized
it had until this past year when readers started to ask about the
books. It’s the same for the Cursed Heart series. The books were
supposed to be out a lot sooner than this. My goal for 2020 is to
catch up with the books and get most of the series caught up.
  1. Who is Trace? We haven’t
heard about him in the series before. Is he a new series?
Trace
is new to the series. His father is Ethan, who you met very briefly
in Tall, Dark & Heartless. He is the vampire that Caine contacted
to get information about Pytes so that he could help his mate. Trace
is his son that went missing centuries ago and has never stopped
looking for.
Trace
is a Pyte and brand new to the series as is his mate. With that being
said, Kale plays a very important part in this book and you will get
to see the others as well. Jill and Joshua are in this book as well.
You will get more information in this book, more answers and a better
sense of where the series is heading.
  1. Who
will be next in the series?
Kale’s
book will be next. His book is titled
Unstoppable.
His mate will be the key to the series. I have a lot of plans for
that couple. It’s actually already started and I am looking forward
to getting back to it. I am hoping for a Halloween release, but I
don’t want to jinx myself. At this point, I’m just keeping my
fingers crossed and hoping for the best.
  1. Will
Jill and Joshua ever get their own books?
Yes,
but it won’t be anytime soon. Joshua plays a crucial part in this
series so I need him to do a few things before we can redeem him. As
for Jill, her character has a few more trials to go through before
her story will be ready to be told.

  1. There’s
a rumor going around that there will be a YA series for the Pytes.
    Is that true?
Yes,
there is a Pyte YA series in the works. I have been playing with the
idea for the past few years and trying to narrow it done to what I
want. I’ve been debating a few things and I’m almost ready to
start. I will say this, Marc will not be in this series only because
he will not have his mate until he’s well into his adulthood. The
one thing that I’m truly debating about the YA series is whether it
will be focused on one couple or a new couple for every book. I’ll
know more about where the series is heading once the first book is
done.
  1. What
makes your Pyte/Sentinel series different than the rest?
Well,
for one, the concept of a Pyte is my creation, something that I’ve
been toying with since I was a kid. There are a lot of vampire
romance novels out there, with different takes on what a vampire is,
how they’re created, their weaknesses, etc. and they’re great,
but the Pyte/Sentinel series does it a little bit differently. I’ve
tried to create a world that could easily blend in with ours with
humans completely oblivious to the real world around them.

I’ve
created this world so that even readers who don’t normally like
paranormal romance enjoy these books because I try my best to make
the characters relatable. The Pyte/Sentinel world is not overwhelming
with paranormal aspects filling every page. The books ease readers
into the story and allow them to keep up without having to remember
all the different rules or concepts that make up this world.

My thoughts 💭

I enjoyed the book but I did dislike that Devon actually listens to the seer. But it was cute when they were reunited. Devon and the pack gets Charity to the protection of her family. Charity finally comes into her own and she’s awesome. Devon tries to do what’s “best” for Charity but she’s not having that and follows the silly alpha. This book was filled with action, secrets and lies that held my interest from beginning to end!

My Thoughts 💭

I liked this book. Ari finds out what about her is so special. Fin also finds out he’s so much more than a prince of Hell. Asher was kind of disappointing. He’s fallen for his fathers lies and I’m kind of surprised he didn’t question things more. I enjoyed the action and drama.

Synopsis

You think it’s safe to walk alone at night. It’s not.

You think the only threat is other humans. It’s not.

Monsters are real. Demons are real. Vampires are real.

And I’m about to become one of them.

My name is Arianna Spero. I was an ordinary girl, living an ordinary life, until my mother lapsed into a coma. Now, I am her only hope. She made a deal with the devil, and on my 18th birthday he came to collect. But there’s a way to save her. There’s something the princes of hell want more than my mother.

Me.

So I signed my soul away and promised to pick a prince to marry. I would take the blood oath, become one of them, and give them an heir. I would become a princess of hell, and my mother would live.

I expected fire and brimstone. I expected pain and misery. I didn’t expect beauty. I didn’t expect magic.

I didn’t expect love.

But the princes are keeping secrets from me.

Secrets that could shatter everything.

My Thoughts 💭

This was an enjoyable read. Ari finds out her mom made a deal with the devil and to save her mom she has to choose one of Hell’s princes to be her mate/ husband/ king(I forgot…don’t judge lol). There’s more to Ari and the ending proved that to be true. By the end I didn’t know who to trust! I thought Fen was kind of innocent but he’s not! The warning Ari got in the beginning to not trust anyone was correct lol.

Release Blitz: Rekindled Prophecy by KC Freeman

Title: Rekindled Prophecy
Author: KC Freeman
Genre: Paranormal Fantasy
Series:  Greylyn The Guardian Angel #1

Guardian angel Greylyn saves innocent humans from their own inner demons or the more nefarious real ones. She’s overdue for some rest and relaxation, but upon finding her archenemy already entrenched at an authentic Irish bed and breakfast, she knows her vacation is over before it ever starts. Enemies for over four centuries, Greylyn has fought the dark guardian, Kael; and fought her desire for him. This time, however, she must work with the dashing dark guardian to protect innocent lives. It’s a deadly gamble. One she has no choice but to take. But the situation is far more treacherous than she realizes as a notorious fallen archangel holds the lives of a mother and her unborn child over Greylyn’s head to force her to consummate a dormant, but deadly prophecy. One so deadly that Heaven didn’t even write it down. Rekindled Prophecy: Greylyn the Guardian Angel is a contemporary fantasy novel with strong undertones of romance and sex appeal between two enemies – one working for Heaven, the other working for Hell.

“Oh, no! Edward? Did he escape? I came out here looking for him, but these guys,” she waved her hand towards the corpses littering the alley, “were after him and …”
“Yes, yes. I get it. You ran into the bad guys and as a bonus, you got a bloody dark guardian your first time on your own.”
“A what?”
“A dark guardian. The exact opposite of us, darling. You are just lucky I came along when I did. That one would’ve carved you up like a porterhouse steak.” He pushed himself off the ground. At his full height of well over six feet tall, he towered above her.
“Does this dark guardian have a name?” She didn’t know why it mattered that she find out his name. Jasper narrowed his eyes at her in obvious dis-approval.
“That one in particular is Kael,” Jasper spat. “Truly nasty piece of work. Avoid him at all costs. Hopefully, you will never have to see that creature again.”
He turned towards her and grabbed her by the upper arms, leaning forward so they were nose to nose. An aroma of whiskey and tobacco wafted into her face. “Greylyn, promise me that you will stay away from Kael. If he ever crosses your path, either annihilate him completely with your dagger through his heart and then rip it out of his body while it’s still beating; or run. Just run.”

After leaving the corporate world to raise her five rambunctious children with her husband in North Carolina, KC Freeman eventually found her way back to her lifelong desire to write fiction. First, she dipped her toes in the writing world by ghostwriting cozy mysteries and romance novels.
Once confident of her creative writing skills, she struck out on her own to write urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Prior to Rekindled Prophecy: Greylyn the Guardian Angel Series Book 1 she contributed a paranormal romance short story to the Autumn/Winter 2017 anthology The Bowman’s Inn. Another paranormal romance short story was published with the After Dark: 9 Modern Takes on Classic Fairy Tales anthology where readers can be introduced to an upcoming character in the Greylyn saga.
KC writes mostly urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels. She also spends a lot of time editing other authors’ manuscripts and college application essays.
When she is not writing, KC is running her children to practices, football games, swim meets, wrestling tournaments, and generally all over town. In her spare time…who are we kidding? She doesn’t have any of that.

***WARNING: This book contains violence and sexual situations. Not recommended for those under 18. ***

Hell hath no fury like an angel scorned. Justice St. Michaels is on a mission from God to avenge her parents’ death, even if it means hunting Seliki to the depths of Hell. Justice and her powerful friends won’t back down until His will is done. Can an angel, witch, vampire and elf take on Hell and come out alive?

JusticeSomething’s wrong.
I opened my eyes to pitch-black nothingness. Moving my shoulders, I felt the familiar weight of my backpack. At least that made it through, but where the heck was everyone? Was Hell supposed to be this dark? Sure, I didn’t expect a red, cloven-hoofed devil holding a pitchfork to greet me.I reached out, hoping to find a clue as to where my friends were, but only felt air. I stretched my foot forward, then stopped. For all I knew, there could be a cliff right in front of me. Yes, I had a heart full of faith, but I wasn’t going to take stupid risks, especially not here.A cold sweat ran down my spine; breath caught in my throat, heart pounding like crazy. Thudthudthudthud. I pressed a hand to my chest, somehow thinking it could force my heart to slow. Instead, heat flared on the back of my neck as electrifying panic spread through my body. Something about being surrounded by darkness triggered an alarm in my brain.No. Not here. Not now. Each gasp for air felt like a gulp of water as I drowned in anxiety. It can’t end this way.Falling to my knees, I closed my eyes. “Darien,” I croaked in between breaths, saying my friends’ names like a prayer. “Moira. Tom.The second I saw their faces in my mind’s eye, my heart slowed, my anxiety subsiding. Exhaling slowly, I focused on them as if they were my lifeline.Darien, with his playful smile and soulful grey eyes. I could get lost in them forever. Never did I imagine someone like him would love me, or vice versa. Who dates a vampire? He was a suave guy with a maturity beyond anyone I knew. The pebbles he’d throw at my window might as well have been him loudly declaring his love for the neighborhood to hear. The charming note he wrote me, how he leapt in front of me to take Seliki’s knives to the face, when he used his powers to deflect the sheriff… It all showed me he was in it for the long haul.Even when I was a broken, sobbing mess after my parents died, he was there for me. Never once did he try to take advantage, even though he could have turned me into his slave. Instead, he gave me all the power, let me decide how far I wanted to go. Now he was in Hell because of it.I clenched my fists in frustration. How could I do this to him? How could I drag my friends down with me?Moira… My sweet, vivacious, spirited Moira, who stood by my side no matter what. Always ready to fight bullies, demons, whatever came our way. She saved me in more ways than I could count. Who needed a sister when I had a friend like her? Why she hid her magic, I’d never understand, but it came in handy. She was always ready to follow me. And now look where it got her.
Tom, a gentle giant with a huge heart. That little boy with sky-blue eyes and corn silk hair, who grew way past six feet tall. With a swoon-worthy smile, it was no wonder Moira fell for him like a stone. At least something good came out of my tragedy.I stifled a sob when my thoughts settled on my parents. Seliki pushed them beyond their powers. To think their last thoughts were to protect me. I gritted my teeth. Never would I feel that helpless again. If Seliki wanted a battle, she had one coming.
Slowly, the heat left my body like a fleeting whisper. When I fluttered my wings, I barely heard them, the room (or wherever I was) … muffled the sound.Where in hell am I

Synopsis

To unlock her powers she must mate with four sexy dragon shifters. One down, three to go…

I’m done hiding. I’ve stopped running. And I’ve finally accepted my destiny—to take four dragon shifters as my mates so I can become the next Black Dragon, the wielder of all the elements.

I’ve already bonded with Jasin, my smoldering soldier, and soon I’ll be getting intimate with Auric, my lofty prince, Slade, my grounded blacksmith, and Reven, my frosty assassin. Only then can we become powerful enough to stop the current Dragons, the overlords of our world.

But as we continue our journey, secrets are uncovered about my mates that make me question everything, even as things heat up between us. Yet the greatest secret of all lies in my own past—and it might destroy us completely.

My Thoughts 💭

The second book was just as interesting as the first. I enjoyed reading. Kira has some doubts about becoming the black dragon. She learns something shocking about her parents.

Auric and Jasin working together for Kira was hot. Slade and Reven are kind of coming around and it’s cute. I’m ready for them to be all in!

I’m interested to find out who Kira’s dad is!
